My Opinion #4-Odd Choices

I find some players (mostly Korean players) like to use some really bad heroes, such as Charles Martel, and Bellerophon. I do not know why they use such strategies, but it makes them really easy to defeat, because having one less good hero can cost you a win. And, although it is possible that ALL these players have no more good heroes, I am highly doubtful that all of them would not have anything better and be forced to choose Charles Martel and Bellerophon. After all, wouldn't a musketeer or an archer do better?

The Email System

Okay, not sure why, but the last three newsletter emails have not been sent. Also, the newsletter email system is failing to work in the way that it is supposed to work, so I have shut it down. Everyone who is currently subscribed will be automatically unsubscribed. Sorry for the inconvenience. :(

My Opinion #3-1.8.5 Morale Cooldown.

In 1.8.5 there seems to be a morale cooldown that is going to be added. Well, like everyone else, I ABSOLUTELY hate this idea. Why would you even add a morale cooldown, Trinti? I honestly think there is no point in this. At the rate things are going, Mini Warriors seems to be going downhill. I already have heard many stories of people quitting and I feel this game will die soon inf Triniti does not listen to the complaints of the people.

The Way the Cookie Crumbles-Mini Warriors

In case you don't understand the title of this post, it basically is a metaphor for "the way something collapses". Anyways, in the case of Mini Warriors, often a rally will fail because too much power is centered in one region. I have noticed several enemy rallies, especially one I won against today (PL 84 with 125000 AP, GG!). In this case, I used a William, Octavius, Ignatius, and Hyacinth combo against a weak enemy row focused mainly with damage and had no good tanks. Anyways, I ripped through the front line (Leonidas), then Ignatius decided to go into the lane above (good idea, Iggy, take out that Merlin!). Anyways, I ended up completely wrecking the both two lanes and from there my forces on the top managed to stay alive long enough for my damage sections to mop up the rest of the enemy. Overall time-1:53, GG! Plus, he had Merlin.

( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º)

Huh, this emoticon glitches everything out.

Reinhard the Blowhard

During a battle, my Reinhard got completed wrecked. I lost to someone while I was offline, and they used the following row:

Robinhood Elizabeth Kelly Gawain

Against my row that was:

BLANK BLANK Philinus Reinhard.

Well, you know what happened-I got rekt. Soo, it seems that Reinhard isn't always that good. I'm not sure what killed Reinhard first, Gawain, Kelly, or Elizabeth, because it seems all three could have very potentially done it. Robinhood probably wouldn't have killed Reinhard but he? she? definitely would have weakened him.

Anyways, Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone!

PVP Grinding Time

I've got every hero I want except Cannon, and oh dear, this is going to be a frustrating goal. I'm only at 800 PVP wins, so... yeah. Going to take a while before I rack up another 500. I'm slightly doubtful as to whether this is worht it or not. Ah well, at least I'm beyond 50% done.

Pavisers-Still Bad!

The advanced pavisers are still that notch under the other types of units. Why?

Firstly, Templar Pavisers have more healing efficiency, which negates (to some effect) healing deficiency, like the skills of Gawain and 3-Star Shockwave Pikemen. However, this could still work decently with Hyacinth and GDR combo.

Then, Heavy Pavisers (I swear, these names are not very creative-they are basically the same for every unit) take EVEN LESS damage from attacks. I can see myself upgrading Carter with these so that he gets epic SKILL and DAMAGE reduction, but then again, Ignatius is still going to rip that whole chunk up. Wait, unless Carter's skill also reduces the damage from Ignatius' skill?

Well, that begins another experiment! Unless someone already knows? Because, I don't. And I'm going to be honest here.

The Forgotten Ones

Looking through Mini Warriors history I found several occurances (acutlaly quite a lot) where heroes once introduced were good/okay in their day, but lost power later on. This happens because of two occurances.

One-the hero was debuffed.
Two-the hero slowly got overshadowed by better heroes.

Examples:
Hilda-Used to be very useful as a resurrection cavalry. But then she was debuffed and then rebuffed with barely any power, and she remains at the bottom of the four-stars.

Helmar-There was a time when Helmar was a very good infantry. Back then he only had one axe, and multiple vikings, and now he is completely terrible in a day where minions matter as well.

The reason I'm leaving this post like this is because I want you (the followers) to come up with your own descriptions. I'm trying some new things, and I want to involve my followers in my new ideas.

My Opinion #2-Four-Star Refresh Rates

After a long experiment (found here) conducted by Lucette and much of the Mini Warriors community, the four-star appearance rate seems to be around 18%. However, I do not believe this information is accurate. The experimenters range widely in the amount of four-stars and three-stars they have. Some are Myst members, and have nearly all four and three-stars. Some are complete starters, and have little to no four-stars. Although my theory has not been 100% verified, I still would like to run my own test in this method. I don't know many people who are willing to dismiss all their three-stars, but personally it seems that dismissing three stars does have an effect on the four-star rates, at least for me.

Want to join in on the experiment? Come to the forum page here.

Octavius Get!

Yay, got Octavius.

Here are his stats:

Also, pay attention to the dismiss button on the next two images.

So Octavius (whom you can't ever get again) is dismissable, but Alash (whom you can ever get again) is not? What's up with this, game?!?!

Derping Around

I'm not even sure why I'm writing this post, by I honestly just felt like derping around, and this is the result.

First, Reinhard trolling two enemy paviser squads.

Next, Summers is very short, and the stone minions are very ugly.

Joan is just standing there like she just does not care. Summers is getting PWNED by a rain of ninja knives.

Yes!!

In a very old post, I requested a new type of unit like a thief or a rogue. It has FINALLY COME!

I found that the advanced arbalist units include an assassin unit that can potentially one-shot an enemy minion. The lower the enemy's health is, the better the chance for a one-shot.

The other advanced arbalist is the Heavy Arbalist, which has a 25% chance to reduce a hit enemy's defense to zero. I can see this becoming useful as a powerful unit against pavisers. Add in some musketeers-no, wait, they have shorter range than arbalists. That's not going to work.

A Rumor

Recently I've heard a rumor from someone hat the advanced infantry unit with the suicide damage (Crusaders) will have 10% damage instead of 3%. The result is that they could potentially become extremely powerful under Octavius, leading to easy ways to take out enemies such as GDR (or even Merlin, now infantry can counter too :O).

Hmm.. time to wait for 1.8.5...

Dealing with Tanks

Every tank has a weakness and can be countered in this way.

Firstly, Shazzo can easily die from a good AoE, Carter gets busted by Ignatius, Cedric doesn't heal enough to be useful, Charles Martel has little to no use, and Eugene is too unpredictable-good minions will kill him.

So what about the better tanks?

Alash gets REKT by AoE, especially musketeers and mages.

GDR has to take damage to be effective, so while he might take out one AoE, he has potential to become destroyed by two AoE with a good frontliner (Reinhard maybe).

Reinhard has gaps in between his skill procs, and because of this it is quite unpredictable to know exactly when you can sneak in an AoE to get Reinhard when he isn't proc'd. Overall I'd say your best bet is to use Elizabeth + Robinhood + Gawain to take him out, but this is not guaranteed a 100% chance of success.

Musketeers Are OOP(s)

The two advanced musketeer units are as follows:

One is the bomb thrower, that deals splash damage (three enemies).

The other is the heavy musketeer, dealing bonus damage to stunning enemies.

Thus, it becomes quite obvious about which musketeer should be upgraded with what.

Edward + Heavy Musketeer sounds good to me. Add a Galahad into the mix!

Sarky + Bomb Thrower = much AoE + much death

Musketeers were always OP. Now they are beyond OP.

They are now Over-Overpowered, or OOP.

Oops.

Dealing with Idiot Mounted Archers

As many of you know, in 1.8 the mounted archer AI was changed to that one of the cavalry. The problem with this is that Nicolai now likes to charge into enemy lines. So, how does one deal with this?

My favorite method is to use Alash and a cavalry (like Lancelot or Galahad) in the same row as Nicolai, so the result becomes:

Nicolai Galahad/Lancelot (non-musketeer hero) Alash

This way, the cavalry will charge the enemies at a point that is further back in the enemy lines, meaning your Nicolai will survive until your cavalry falls. Then it's all up to your Alash.

Thursday, August 27, 2015

Alash Get!

YES! Finally got Alash. This means I only have Octavius and Cannon left on my "to-get" list.

Also, I think that the more three-stars you have, the less chance you have of getting a four-star.

Still need to prove this, but I got Nicolai, Edward, Kelly, and now Alash from about 12 refreshes in total. When I collected three-stars, it took me forty refreshes to just get GDR. Then I fired all my three-stars, and immediately got four heroes from twelve refreshes.

1 in 3 IS DEFINITELY better than 1 in 40

Polymorphism in Strategies

Using polymorphic strategies (or rather, strategies involving lots of polymorph mages) can be a very effective way to defeat opponents. Polymorphing an enemy causes them to be unable to attack AND have zero defense. By consistently rendering your enemies helpless, you could easily clear it out with a wave of AoE. Thus AoE and Polymorph Mages tend to work well together.

As for the type of tanks/infantry you should use when playing this strategy, it is recommended to utilize high-crit damagers. Leonidas, Gawain, William, Edward (although not technically an infantry), etc.

This is a very difficult strategy to counter, but a good, strong, AoE-heavy rally should be able to bust through those weak critical frontlines and destroy the backline.

You really do fight fire (fireballs) with fire (fireballs).

Advanced Knights

The two new types of cavalries are as follows:

Templars: Can't be stunned or polymorphed (good VS Cannon, Edward, or Belthor)

Strikers: Their first hit in a battle reduces the hit enemy's defense by 25%

Mounted Archers-Incorrect Information

In a previous post, the mounted archers I described were incorrect. Mounted archers do not have spears, no matter what. Anyways, I discovered the advanced Mounted Archers are divided into Barbarian Horse Archers who target heroes before minions (:), Nicolai!), and a different type (still need to confirm name) that prevents healing for 3 seconds. Bellerophon might be good for taking out tough heroes, like Merlin. Bellerophon seems like he might return.....

Sunday, August 23, 2015

Advanced Infantry Units

There are two types, Crusaders and Chainmail Assault Infantry. Crusaders deal a good deal of damage (3% of their max health) to the enemy that killed them. Chaimail Assault Infantry can stun every third attack. Hmm... This seems to help Infantry a very good amount.

Reinhard definitely seems some of those Crusaders (mini GDR + Reinhard tank level = good). With Chaimail Assault, I can see that being helpful with William. William's troops hold off the enemy while William destroys them. I'm rethinking my rally already.

My Opinion #1-The Timer

This post marks the beginning of a new series, a series where I give my opinion on ta certain game aspect. To start off, I will begin with my opinion on the 3:00 timer for each battle. I think this timer is fair, because it creates a challenge. The fact that players must defeat enemies in under three minutes forces them to make rallies that have sufficient firepower but also contain enough survivability, and I think this is where a lot of the strategy in this game comes in.

Confirmed 1.8.5 Changes

The following will be added/changed/removed in 1.8.5:

  • More training slots (that require higher prestige levels to unlock)
  • Something called a "soldier card"-not sure what this is right now.
  • A friends function.
  • Changing the iOS and Android servers to become one, so you can log on to an iOS device with an Android account, and vice versa.
I am trying to find more info! Stay tuned!

Advanced Units-Long Ranged

It seems to me that the advanced units to be added in 1.8.5 have two paths. One path has one unique skill, and the other has a different unique skill.

For archers, there are two advanced units. One is the Ranger, who hits enemies 100% of the time.

The other is the Longbowman, who does more damage the further he is from the target.

In the case of mages, the units a more interesting.

Battle Mage cause an enemy to take more damage from hero skills when hitting them, and Arcane Mages will restore a random heroes HP (out of your heroes) when killing an enemy.

I can definitely see Arcane Mages being useful, and Battle Mages would definitely work well with a Sarky or other powerful AoE skill hero. Hmm.. the return of AoE is near.

Mary Read and Manto

Many people believe that these two heroes will be available from the tavern. But, I think otherwise.

Previously, heroes that were described as "not available yet" ended up becoming quest rewards. Hedvig and Octavius are two big examples.

Furthermore, I realized that in 1.8 there are more possible quests to get these heroes from. One quest is the special missions quest, and the other is the hero adventure quest. What I believe will happen is that 1.8.5 wilt introduce Saladin and Achilles as tavern heroes, and Manto and Mary Read as quest heroes. This is similar to a previous update that added Octavius and Hedvig (along with two others I can't remember) after showing them first as "not available yet" during the Edward IV, El Cid, Gawain, and Philinus update.

Keys : Chests

As you progress from a lower level to a higher level, the ratio of chests to keys changes greatly. At lower levels, there is a very high surplus of chests. But slowly, keys will begin to outnumber chests until ultimately you have so many key's you don't know what to do with all of them.

Advanced Units

A good amount of info has just been released on the advanced unit types. The official forum page can be found here: http://forum.trinitigame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=130&t=540895. Anyways, the advanced heroes seem like they might change how the game works... by a lot. Hmm.. perhaps it may be time to get ready for total rally changes.

Heroes Not Worth It

In my opinion, there are quite a few heroes that are just not worth using.

Hilda, Charles Martel, Hedvig, and Kelly are all quite obvious.

I don't like Robinhood because I don't feel that he/she (sorry, the game is very unclear about this point) is just weak.

Morgana, personally, often procs the wrong hero, but can be good.

Helmar is severely underpowered compared to Reinhard.

Urza is also severely underpowered, but this time worse than both Helmar and Reinhard.

Ragnar only buffs his own attack, Terim's dragon gets killed too much, Jerome's proc rate is disappointing, Cedric's heal is nowhere near useful, and Summers is highly inferior to other hybrids.

I feel Saladin is too hard to use, and Achilles is not useful enough to be compared to the likes of Gawain, Leonidas, and Ignatius.

Eugene is very unpredictable, like Circe, but at least Circe can be fun to use sometimes (Circe + clone Merlin = Good)

This is all I can think of at the moment. I feel like I missed one or two... Hmm....

Saladin and Achilles-Skills Confirmation

Here are the skills for Saladin and Achilles:

Saladin-Blessing of Gods: Increase physical damage of all heroes in the same row as he is for 55% when battle starts. This buff last for 50 seconds.

Achilles: Weakpoint Strike: If the an enemy hero/squad dodges an attack delat by Achilles or his squad, the next attack will have attack increase my 120% and a 100% hit rate. After that hit, the effects are reset.

Saladin does not seem that useful, but Achilles could be good for taking out Alash. Hmm... has Alash finally met his match?

Do remember that Achilles' 120% increase is actually 2.2x damage, meaning a critical would be 4.4x his regular attack. Add the fact that mist increase dodge of everything nearby, and it could become VERY dangerous to use a mist against Achilles. I am considering swapping Leonidas for Achilles now, but Achilles could still be quite bad.

Planning out the Future

Planning out your future in a game like this is always a very good idea. Why? Because in this game, at higher levels a lot depends on what you spent at lower levels.

Currently my rally is the following:

What I have planned out:

Once I reach PL 80, I will add Elizabeth into my rally.

But, Lancelot is definitely going to go once I get Cannon. I will use command badge to swap troops.

Shazzo is in as a Alash replacement. Same plan as above.

Joan is in as a Octavius replacement, likewise.

Once these replacements are done I will swap Octavius to the middle row, have William behind him, and move Leonidas to Joan's current position. Alash will be where Shazzo is and Cannon where Lancelot is. I have not yet planned out a spot for Elizabeth, however. Still need to think about that......

Hero Killing Strategy

The hero killing strategy with three mounted archers, Robinhood, and Elizabeth is a very interesting one. It is quite useful at lower levels but as PL increases, minion importance also increases. Over time, at about PL 150, it becomes useless. Personally, I do not like this strategy, mostly because mounted archer minions are being quite idiotic at the moment. My Nicolai thinks he leads cavalry, and leads his troops into enemy mage territory 9/10 times. It is extremely annoying. Currently I only use Nicolai, because I cannot see the point in using up two important hero spots for two mounted archers that charge  straight into enemy mages and get obliterated. The only reason I use Nicolai is because his skill seems to be more effective than my other choices. Circe is too erratic at times, Elizabeth is the logical choice to swap for Nicolai, but my plan is to add Elizabeth once I get PL 80 to get that extra slot. I don't find Robinhood as effective as Elizabeth or Nicolai, and Eugene will definitely not do me much good at the moment. Jerome's low proc rate is very disappointing, and Cedric's heal is far too little to be the equals of GDR, Alash, Reinhard, or even Carter. Helmar is severely overshadowed by Reinhard, and Morgana's silencing skill often hits a hero that is pointless to silence, and that leaves Urza, who is near useless, Hedvig, who is very close to being useless, and Charles Martel, who is basically useless.

The Best Supporter

Here are my opinions on the best supporter units in this game:

Sarah-Decent heals, but not the best.

Philinus-Works decently unless with Reinhard. Then he becomes a real game changer.

Manto-Apparently heals more than Sarah but only heals in a certain area, and takes time. Essentially more heal orbs for you.

Hyacinth-Heals are amazing. Gets me into the 100k - 200k range every time.

Morgana-Useful skill that can relaly prevent some AoE at times, but personally he doesn't get the right heroes to be effective.

Hedvig-Morgana's step-down version. Personally Hedvig could also slightly function as a tank, but most of the time she gets overrun too much.

Edward IV-Buffing attack can be very useful, especially when getting AoE squads like 3-star archers to do more damage. High proc rate + good damage = win.

Hilda-Edward IV's counterpart, just like Joan and Shazzo. Hilda is not very liked among the community because she gets killed too much and doesn't proc enough.

Jerome-Doesn't proc enough, and is quite disappointing most of the time.

Friday, August 14, 2015

The Best Tank

Here are my opinions on the different tanks:

Alash-One out of two EPIC tanks. Dodges so many minions damages, making him very effective against Ignatius. AoE will rek Alash though.

Gilles de Rais-Another EPIC tank. However, he is a bit more of a kamikaze....

Reinhard-A good tank at skill level 11+. Before that he is hit-or-miss.

Carter-Not bad either, but nowadays AoE is so effective at busting Carter he isn't as popular.

Shazzo-Even worse than Carter, Shazzo barely has any tanking ability against AoE. Basically a worse version of Alash.

Cedric-His heal is quite bad, and personally Hyacinth with Alash/GDR would be much more effective.

Charles Martel-Anyone considering CM in their rally is probably desperate for tanks. Even three-star arbalists are better.

Thursday, August 13, 2015

The Best Cavalry

Out of the current amount of cavalry, here are my opinions on each of them:

Cannon-Probably the best cavalry out there, Cannon features high damages with good tank ability. His skill is a bit glitched at the moment, however.

Hyacinth-If Cannon is the best, Hyacinth definitely is second best. His healing skill ensures a good chunk of your army survives the first half of the battle.

El Cid-Although he also has a halo like Hyacinth, and given the fact that he is both offensive and defensive, El Cid is not bad, but there could be better choices for cavalry.

Galahad-Definitely the better of the two AoE cavalry. Galahad's good damage and stun give him the upper hand over Lancelot's weak damage and bad heal.

Lancelot-Worse than Galahad for the reasons mentioned before.

Uriah-Good stats, but in my opinion is definitely not worth the $1000 it costs to get him. Plus, his skill is quite bad.

Hilda-Although I've tried again and again to find a use for Hilda, the overall outcome is that Hilda is the worst cavalry.

Chances

It seems to me that my tavern chances have significantly increased ever since I dismissed most of my 3-stars. Hmmm... I think I'm beginning to sense a connection between 3-star and 4-star chances in the tavern.

Questions and Answers

This is post 400! Woot! Another 100 posts have gone by!
As most of you would know, for post 400 I promised to do a Q&A. So, here it is!

What would you do with the old world?
Hmm... I think I would use it for minor farming. If I were the game's developers, however, I'd remove the old world were it not for the sentimentalism about it.

Which hero is your favorite (image)?
Favorite hero by looks? I'd have to say, Uriah. He is 100% boss from his looks, but from his ability, more like 30% boss.

Which hero skill is your favorite?

DEFINITELY William's Whirlwind. I don't really know why, it's just that a blue spiral of death is always cool. Especially when William procs so much I wonder why he doesn't get dizzy.

Heal or Mist?

I'd say Mist. At my level Mist is quite useful, but Heal isn't too bad either. I like heal sometimes because of the lower morale cost, but mist is really effective for turning the tide, personally.

Do you need to put the correct weapons in the heroes. E.g. Sword with William and bow with robinhood?
No, you do not.

Dang It!

Dang it. Got Kelly. Sigh... First it was Sarky, then it was Nicolai, now it's Alash that is eluding me.

Monday, August 10, 2015

Fast or Slow

Is it better to level up faster or slower? Personally, I'd say both. You need to do a good amount of PVP for Cannon and XP, but farming minion upgrade items is not a bad idea either. At some levels, when you notice your army power lower than others of your level, it may be time to take it slower. Otherwise, by all means, keep on fighting in that PVP Arena!

Sunday, August 9, 2015

Cash Crashers

Some people who overly spend cash can just crash your plans completely. This guy spent $1,000 just so I couldn't defeat him in Mini Warriors. Personally that $1,000 would be much better used on something more productive. (I know he spent $1,000 because he has Uriah, which costs $1,000 to buy)

Reinhard: Hit-or-Miss?

Reinhard seems to be a hit-or-miss type of hero. In this case, he missed, leaving Philinus to get massacred and Edward and Belthor's squads to get mauled.

The red circle is the dead Philinus' staff, and the blue circle indicate's Reinhard's death.

The Amazingness of Some Heroes

Nicolai managed to do SO much damage to enemy heroes with his skill. Hmm.. NOT SURPRISING!

Azod's high proc rate paid off. Hmm.... NOT SURPRISING!

Philinus got 6 procs. Hmmm... SURPRISING!

Hyacinth got an epic heal. Hmm.... NOT SURPRISING!

Edward's troops managed to deal TONS of damage in crits. Hmmm.. NOT SURPRISING!

What?!

What happened here? The game kinda just froze after I finished the battle, and Reinhard even managed to proc in the time that the game froze after the battle.

The Old World

I believe the old world in Mini Warriors is completely useless I don't think anyone at all enjoys it in the least, and I wonder why Trinity even decided to keep it there. Probably because they didn't want too massive of a change.

Also, definitely confirmed for next update:

Saladin, Achilles.

Maybe Mary Read and Manto will e available.

The Downhill Slope

1.8 seems to be for the MUCH worse. Recently many experienced players have been quitting, and I feel the climax come right about now when Badsolja quit. Sooner or later this game is going to be wrecked if Triniti keeps going on like this. So called "bug-fixes" no one really sees happening, then when there is a real bug Trinti is oblivious to it. Many are complaining about problems killing the game at higher levels, and the game's sheer amount of people ragequitting because they can't get four-stars is amazingly high. I agree that 1.8 is becoming worse because of Triniti's poor support, but I ABSOLUTELY am annoyed at those who are annoyed at the tavern refresh rates or other aspects like that.

As a matter of fact I have even found people threatening to quit this game if Triniti did not give them the Hades set for free. Now THAT is just going over the edge.

Also, everyone, do remember that four-stars ARE SUPPOSED TO BE RARE!

Let me repeat that. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE RARE!!!

I am disgusted bey the many people who just DO NOT understand that fact.

Anyways, my rage-speech over, I just want to add that there are things that Triniti could do better on. Fixing PVP equality, re-balancing hero skills and fixing some issues could help too. But I personally think that there are two parts to a good game. The company and the community. And Mini Warriors is going on a downhill slope lately because both the community and the company are wrecked at the moment. Although we can only hope the company gets better, it is within our power to keep the community going. Often some games can stay alive with a good community and a bad company. So let's stop Mini Warriors from dying altogether.

Three and Four

Does this game regard three-stars and four-stars as the same general "class" of hero? Per se, when some people get all the three stars, those people often never get four-stars for a good while. Then, wouldn't releaseing all your three-stars give you better odds? After all, the game says three and four-star heroes are both "good".

My Heroes So Far

Thirty four-star heroes, personally, is a new milestone for me! This means there are only a bit of heroes I want now!

That Time Again

Yep. It's been another 100 posts, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for what I should do for post #400? It's coming up very soon, and frankly I'm not quite sure what to do.

Almost Defeated

I was almost defeated. Somehow my Sarky and Belthor saved me. :D

If you haven't noticed, that Reinhard who died there along with tons of enemies is my
Reinhard. he tanked for about thirty seconds in that position, while being healed by Philinus.

Life Goal ACCOMPLISHED!

Today, I got two goblets. After using them, I finally accomplished my Mini Warriors life goal. The one hero, who has evaded me for so lon- ah whatever.

Forget the speech, I GOT NICOLAI!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait a second.... since I won't put money into this game, that eliminates my chances of Merlin or Uriah. But.... that means I only have 10 MORE FOUR STARS TO GO!!!!!!

Edward, Bellerophon, Edward IV, Alash, Octavius, Cannon, Summers, Terim, Ragnar I don't have. Mary Read, Manto, Saladin, and Achilles later. Hmm... there is one more though.....

Mini Warriors Saladin and Achilles

There is much speculation about these two heroes, but from what I have heard, Saladin's skill will have something to do with lowering attack, but I have no info on Achilles.

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Mini Warriors

Mini Warriors has officially been out for two years. It's a festive time, and I wish everyone the best of luck with their hero-getting from all the free crystals during this period. :D

A Slight Change

Yesterday I mentioned that I would start a membership kinda thing on this blog. Unfortunately it did not 100% work out right so I have decided to change it slightly. You can unfollow my blog if you wish, but the hidden pages and rally help services (membership) will be offered though email instead as of today. To become a member, simply send me a request via email. You can renounce your member title at any time via email request. Members will get a newsletter about the latest changes, as well as the link to any hidden info pages that you may want to see.

Please note: if you were a follower before, you will still need to send a request for this new system. Sorry :/.

Sarky Failing

Explanation:

Sarky got killed early. Azod missed a lot of triggers, and Galahad and William were the last two heroes. Circe cloned an enemy Sarky and that Sarky destroyed at least 3 enemy squads. Hmm.... :D

All About Those Combos

Combinations of heroes are what gives a player the win in a battle.
EXAMPLES:

Philinus + Reinhard
El Cid + Carter
El Cid + Alash
Hyacinth + Octavius
Hyacinth + Sarah + Octavius
Edward + Belthor
GDR + Sarky
Nicolai + Robinhood + Elizabeth

Something Coming Soon!

I am currently working on a detailed strengths and weaknesses guide for each hero. This will be released soon! Please note: only members of my blog will be able to access this guide.

Also, in the future, blog followers will get extra benefits. I have not 100% worked out these benefits, but I do know it will involve access to extra pages.

Reinhard's Redemption

I used Reinhard with Philinus, and the result was amazing. Merlin wasted two lightnings on Reinhard without dealing damage, and Reinhard outlived William and GDR in the battle. Reinhard has redeemed himself.

BTW, stupid image uploading is broken, so I haven't been getting many images these days.

Heroes Not Obtainable By Tavern

Today I'm just discussing all the heroes not available in the tavern. I'm a bit tired when I'm writing this, so if I miss one or two don't kill me over it.

Some Heroes Shouldn't Be Healing

For some reason, my William and Shazzo are healing on themselves. Hmmm.. I wonder why? I'll get a screenshot up soon! Stay tuned!

For Better or For Worse

1.8 is an update of many changes. I wonder, is it more things that are better in this game, or is it composed of more degrading things? Everyone has their own opinions.

Hero of the Day #44-Summers

Summers isn't a bad infantry. But he isn't the best either. 8.7 seems fair to me.

Hero of the Day #43-Terim

A robotic engineer with flaming dragons that massacre. Cool. Only problem is that these dragons can be killed.
:/

8.7 for the dragoneer.

Hero Degrade

Just like some heroes are buffed pretty high in 1.8, others are no longer as good as they used to be. Nicolai maintains a decent amount of power, but others like Shazzo, Lancelot, and Galahad have dropped in power in comparison to other heroes. 1.8 also decreased the effectivity of Sarah, because it means she will target her heals to the heroes in front of her and not all over your rally. However, this may work well with some other strategies...

Musket Strats

Edward and Mary Read have very similar abilities and their stats seem to compliment each other. Using a Mary Read to slow down a mob of enemies, a Edward to stun them, a Belthor on the side to polymorph them, and finish it all with either a Sarky firebomb or a couple of Edward crits. Musket Strats!

#musketeerstratswinthegame

Hero of the Day #42-Mary Read

Almost like Edward. I wonder if you could pull off some Edward-MaryRead-Sarky combos.

9.2 for now....
May raise of lower once she is released.

Infantry Dilemma

There are now seven infantry heroes with the 1.8 update, and one more coming later! I'm going to be eliminating them one by one until I get to the best one.

William
Reinhard
Helmar
Joan
Octavius
Summers
Ragnar

Personally, Helmar is completely worthless.

William
Reinhard
Helmar
Joan
Octavius
Summers
Ragnar

Ragnar isn't that good either, being and attack and HP buff to himself.

William
Reinhard
Joan
Octavius
Summers
Ragnar

Joan's ability can't do much when facing an enemy Shazzo, and her defense is too low for most tastes.

William
Reinhard
Joan
Octavius
Summers

Although he was buffed in 1.8, Reinhard doesn't work well by himself, unlike the other heroes here. Solo working can be an important aspect of an infantry hero.

William
Reinhard
Octavius
Summers

Then, Summers personally is not as good as William or Octavius.

William
Octavius
Summers

In the end, I feel Octavius has just a tiny bit of an edge over William, which gives him the win.

William
Octavius

Octavius wins!

Hero of the Day #41-Ragnar

Barbarbarbarbarbarians FTW!

Ragnar > Helmar

Healer Dillema

Sarah heals troops outright for a good chunk of HP. Philinus ensures your heroes are not killed. Manto's skill has better healing than Sarah but unfortunately is locked to one place, being most effective at times in the beginning of the battle, where all the troops everywhere are locked in direct combat. What's your opinion? Post in the comments below!

Hero of the Day #40-Jerome

Jerome is a resurrecter. 100% cool, especially after Hilda was debuffed.

9.2 definitely!

Hero of the Day #39-Cedric

Healing tank squad? Seems good to me!

Soo... I'm going to put a 9.0 for a good needed tank!

The Realm of Atlas

Wow, looks like Trinity really did a good job with making this new map!

Hero Massacre

Kelly's skill can now have a maximum of 25% trigger rate, this being the same for the four 3-star arbalists. Since Kelly's skill will trigger about 3-4 times in the average 1:30 battle, assuming you used all five arbalists together, then:

Five arbalists = 15-20 heroes killed with skill triggers throughout battle.

Combined with Philinus and Reinhard to soak damage, this could be a rise of crappy heroes!

Reinhard Improved

Reinhard was one of the worst heroes to ever be known in this game. Nowadays, however, he has grown significantly in power, assuming you use a Philinus to continuously heal him, he could become a major damage soak.

Rekt

Completely rekt a guy with Merlin two levels ahead of me. How? GDR for the win!

A basic playthrough of the battle (since the pictures I got somehow went corrupt):

1-Enemy Merlin decimates my top frontline, and Eugene's squadron is killed by a mix of lightning and a stunbomb rom an enemy Edward. Enemy Hyacinth does not go where he was probably intended (healing his Octavius) but instead runs up top.
2-My Lancelot and Galahad somehow kill his Alash on the bottom, leading to a leak in his frontline.
3-My Shazzo and Joan combination wipe out his mages in the bottom half, although this took a bit, because of his Sarah and Philinus.
4-My William kills his Octavius and moves on to destroy his Nicolai. After this point, all my troops from the bottom half move upward to attack the other half of the enemy army.
5-Enemy Merlin has destroyed my Carter in the top half, and the enemy begins leaking through, albeit being temporarily held at bay when his pikemen were killed by my Sarky and Azod.
6-My GDR begins an attack on the enemy Merlin, just as my Ignatius finishes off the last of his cavalry. (somehow his Hyacinth survived until this point)
7-Enemy Merlin makes a fatal mistake, shooting his lightning bolts at my GDR.
8-GDR is killed, and this squad is obliterated into dust. But, enemy Merlin is killed by the rebounding damage.
9-Ignatius and William clean up all of the remaining enemies.
10-Success!

Could not have done that without GDR, because Merlin could easily have taken out my Ignatius and William, thus preventing them from finishing the game.

Soak and Destroy

As the skill level cap has been increased, I wonder if that could make for some new strategies...

Per se, if you had a Reinhard, and a Sarky and Philinus behind him, assuming Philinus' AI really has changed and he heals the nearest hero in need of healing, wouldn't this be a good way to decimate dangerous enemies such as Ignatius?

Step 1: Reinhard triggers skill, soaks damage from enemy.
Step 2: Reinhard starts taking tons of damage, nearly dead.
Step 3: Philinus helas Reinhard up, and Reinhard's skill triggers again.
Step 4: Enemy pikemen are distracted by Reinhard and get destroyed by Sarky.
Step 5: Repeat.

Also, currently testing out ideas for Eugene.

The Luck in this Game

After 1.8 I have noticed a sudden outbreak of people feeling angry or frustrated that they cannot advance in this game after a certain point because of certain circumstances. Well, this post is dedicated to everyone with problems like these.

NEVER GIVE UP!

Even if everything seems dark, even if all seems lost, DON'T GIVE UP! Someday you will be able to advance, and someday you will get that hero you've wanted for a long time. (believe me, i'm one of these cases)

Guilds

After half a year of player guilds in this game, finally guilds are going to be added in this game. By ~September 2015 a guild feature will be released, allowed guild co-op by the end of November. Hmm... this is REALLY inteeresting!

Try 'Till You Succeed

Perseverance is key in this game.

This guy challenged me so many times before he finally defeated me.

His successful rally:

Not sure how I lost though..... Maybe he has epic skills? I am suspicious about dat Nicolai. If only this thing let you see skill levels.

Also, not sure if this is true, but I hear tons of Koreans cashload on this game. Just something I hear going around the forums.

Musket Tricks

Musketeers have the supreme technology in this game. Which, obviously, makes them harder to defeat. Hmm... Anyone got any ideas?

Dealing with Archers

Archers (3-star) are very easy to deal with if you know how. Often a good cavalry charge will fail to take them down, as all enemies tend to hone in towards backline charged cavalry. as a result, cavlary die quickly. GDR is a very good way to repel AoE, but with lots of enemy archers GDR alone can't do it. So, how do you repel enemy 3-star archers? The trick is to kill them before they can kill you. Merlin is the best hero I can think of for this job, as his widespread damage will often take out enemy archers quickly. using archers yourself may not be a good idea, because you need to take out the enemy tanks before your archers start attacking enemy archers. Sarky can definitely oblieterate any AoE squad, and maybe it isn't a bad idea to try archers in the frontline (since units will try to fight units similar to themselves, thus enemy infantry and pavisers won't go for the archers). Musketeers, however, get a bit more complicated....

Saladin and Achilles

Saladin I believe is infantry. Dangit we already have enough of those! Achilles is a pikeman, which we are definitely not in need of. TRINITY! WHERE ARE OUR TANKS!

More Heroes?!

Wow. Trinity has just released two more four-stars, and Kindle hasn't even updated to 1.8.

Reaction:

Achilles and Saladin. Cool. A Greek myth fighter and a Muslim king.

The Wait

Still 1.8 does not come... sigh... I wish I was on JO'S sometimes.

Dealing with Sheep

Often one might meet an enemy with polymorph mages. Sometimes healers glitch and end up like polymorph mages.  So... Because of this deadly overpowered skill (in large numbers), there must be a good way to counter it, right?

Wrong. Best way I can think of is to use massive AoE to kill the low def mages.

Rally-July 5 2015

Update of my rally. Pretty good army power compared with other people (is it my four-stars?).

Level 64 below. I DESTROYED him.

Mini Warriors Tournament

I put in all 44 heroes and had a tournament to see which one would win (in my opinion). Well, here is what it looked like:

-Remember this is my opinion, you may have a different idea about what should happen at certain points.

Why 3-Stars

Often one might see three-stars in an enemy rally.

So the question is, why would people use these three-stars?

Well, for starters, the lower army power might cause you to face weaker enemies.

And with weaker enemies, you potentially have a higher chance of winning.

Firstly, three-star arbalists are actually pretty decent tanks.
Then, three-star archers work REALLY well with Edward IV (powerful procs + good proc rate = DECIMATION!)
Three-star musketeers can deal approximately 80% of the AoE damage Sarky does, being miniature Sarky's essentially.
Polymorphing is really annoying in large amounts (renders armies inactive and unable to do anything), leading to quick enemy destruction (especially when teamed up with musketeers).
Healing with the three-stars is decent, but only with heroes that don't rely upon their minions.

Found a Heal Necklace

This is a very interesting necklace. Once I get it, I'll put it on a hero that doesn't rely on his minions.

William is my first thought, but I'm considering others...
Perhaps El Cid, as then he would survive longer to buff up my defenses.

Definitely not Ignatius or that type of hero where they rely a lot on their minions (like Alash or Octavius).

Hmm... need to consider this more in-depth.

Almost There!

So close... must farm gold....

Image Malfunctions...

Sorry, couldn't get an image working yesterday, so I missed the daily hero. I can't seem to get this other player's image to work, so I'm going to have to wait until I get the new update to continue the series :/
