The Game Has Feelings

The game Mini Warriors seems to have feelings. I haven't gotten a four-star in quite a while, yet  made a new account on a new device and got William and Helmar on my first two gold refreshes. You have a higher chance of getting a four-star through refresh when you are noobier. I suppose the game gives you high refresh chances one you pay money for crystals. GG.

Y No Four Stars?

Haven't gotten a four star in quite a while. I wonder if it even is possible anymore.

Hilda is Horrible

Hilda claims to have fighting skills no less then men. Why her ability is horrible I don't know.

The Tenth One

I haven't really been updating my progress on my goal of getting all the four-star heroes (excluding Merlin and Uriah), so I will update that now.

Current 4-star Heroes:

William
Carter
Lancelot
Galahad
Joan
Morgana
Belthor
Hilda
El Cid
Urza

Christmas Eve

Yes, I am still up. If you have stayed tuned to this hour, leave a comment!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve today. Merry Christmas Eve! I'll be staying up tonight and might get a blog post in. Stay tuned folks!

First Savage

Welp, got my first Savage hero. Roderick. Interesting. To think I only needed to win 20 PVP battles to win Roderick. I bet Cannon is easier to get with the new update.

Tips by Pinecone

The following are some tips I found by a user named Pinecone online. I hope this helps:

TL/DR
- Use silver refresh and never buy gold goblet.
- Level up your heroes’ skills when you’re stuck. Don’t farm equipments or spend too much gold leveling up your minions. The core of your army is your heroes.
- If you have enough crystal, do two energy recharge and buy gold chest + key for quick money or equipment.

Heroes
Heroes form the core of your army. Your priority early game is to get 4-star heroes as early as possible. DO NOT BUY GOBLET. For every goblet (80 crystals) you get 16 silver refresh. While silver refresh may not “always” yield a 3- or 4- star, after 16 tries you definitely will get two, three 3 stars and if you are lucky a couple of four stars (Note:This is crossed out because I believe update 1.7 has changed this. More testing needed.). “Always” is in quotation marks because, opposite to what it is stated in the tavern page, goblet is NOT 100% guaranteed to yield a 3 or 4 star. There are a lot of sad stories on the forum.
Until you get Nicolai, the bowman on a horse, your priority for crystal use can only be for heroes refresh. Personally I prefer saving up a bunch of crystal (300 - 400) and do silver refreshes. With no proof or whatsoever, it feels like the more crystal you consecutively gamble at once, the more frequent it will be toward the later tries. I started with about 10, 13 refresh per 3-/4- star, but toward the end I see one every 4, 5 refreshes.

Normal stages vs Elite Stages
Skills will be essential to your army’s attack power and survivability. At max level, Nicolai’s active skill does 1900 damage to every enemy hero on screen. With a high level skill Nicolai, you can pretty much beat normal 100 without much of a resistance.
What does that have to do with Normal vs Elite stage? Farm scrolls and level up your 4-star’s active skill as much as you can. You will play 15 games instead of 20 out of 120 energy, you will not have as many equipment (see next section), you will get less experience and level up slower, but you will have some really scary attack power early on. At level 4, your 3 star cavalry deals 300 area damage which ignores armor. At level 10 3-star archer does 2500ish damage in 5 strikes.
With the gold cut in normal stage (stage with drop only gives half the gold) but not in Elite stage, you can get a lot more gold and use that money on leveling your minion’s level or skill levels.
Equipment
This doesn’t do not much damage to your enemy. My hero has 2191 attack, but even with critical hit he does 900-ish normal damage to enemy heroes. ARMOR REDUCTION WEAKENS NORMAL ATTACK, HENCE YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON SURVIVABILITY so your heroes can unleash their powerful skills. Logically, do worry too much about weapons but do pay a bit attention to armor, shoes, and ring. Head is the best kind of drop because it raises your HP by quite a bit.
Squad size and Level
They are hard to say. You do need minions to counter minions, and without a decent level they die off rather quickly. So I’d say early on make sure you have 12 minions for each of your 4 stars, and probably for two of your 3 star archers (they are really good even in later games) as well. Just make sure you can keep pace with the rate enemy minions dying. Remember, the core of your army is your heroes and their skills, though no man should or can be an island.

Prestige Level

This determines how many heroes you can bring to battle and enemy’s level in encounter battles. You want some prestige level to allow multiple heroes, but always focus on leveling up hero’s skills. You are leveling up everyone slowly anyways.
Too high of a prestige level without strong skills will only be detrimental in encounter battles. I am currently level 59, bring one less heroes to the encounter battle than those lv 65 players, but I can roll over them with ease most of the time.
The stated AP in the formation page should be taken with a grain of salt. Other than a few achievements and reward, they are not accurate assessment of your army. My 33125 AP army easily defeat Elite 93 of AP 37756. AP’s inaccurate and with some luck and good enough hero skill, you can press very far.

Comparison of AOE (Area of Effect) Skills

Quite a long time ago, not too long after Mini Warriors just came out, a player by the name of Givre did a calculation to compare heroes. Unfortunately, that calculation is no longer useful as new updates have changed the game in certain ways and new skills have been added.

The calculation was to find which hero had the best AOE skill. This post shows the calculation involved and the process it takes to do the calculation.

1) Firstly, list all heroes with AOE skills and list skill stats.
All stats are for level 1 skills.
Special effects are not included, this guide only compares damage.

Galahad-Brutal Stomp: 30% chance to do 73 damage.
Sarky-Firebomb: 40% chance to do 55 damage 4 times (or 220 damage).
Merlin-Lightning: 30% chance to do 60 damage 3 times (or 180 damage).
William-Whirlwind: 50% chance to do 33 damage once (or 33 damage).
Uriah-Thor's Hammer: 30% chance to do 206 damage.
Lancelot-Holy Shock: 40% chance to do 68 damage.
Edward-Dizzy Shot: 30% chance to do 52 damage.
Gawain-Demon Attack: 30% chance to do 57 damage.

2) Next, assuming 100% = 10 skill triggers, then therefore:
Galahad-3 triggers
Sarky-4 triggers
Merlin-3 triggers
William-5 triggers
Uriah-3 triggers
Lancelot-4 triggers
Edward-3 triggers
Gawain-3 triggers

3) Multiply triggers by damage.
Galahad-3 x 73=219
Sarky-4 x 220=880
Merlin-3 x 180=540
William-5 x 33=165
Uriah-3 x 206=618
Lancelot-4 x 68=272
Edward-3 x 52=156
Gawain-3 x 57= 171

4) Rank from highest to least:

Sarky-880
Uriah-618
Merlin-540
Lancelot-272
Galahad-219
Gawain-171
William-165
Edward-156

5) Conclusion-Go for Sarky. Sarky has high DPS. Uriah and Merlin are good, but you have to buy tcrystals to obtain them so, maybe not. However, this is for level 1 skills. I do know, however, that though William may have one of the least damaging skills, he has the highest chance to use his skill. At full level 10 William does 13815 damage if he uses his skill 5 times, but since the percentages aren't really accurate, many people just multiply by 10 and assume that a hero uses his skill 10 times a battle. Given that information, William does about 27,630 damage a battle with his skill. However, this is further inaccurate when given the fact that William does this damage to ALL nearby enemies. Assuming William fights 3 squads of 10 + 3 heroes to lead them, and assuming William hits all of them 3 times with his skill 10 times, than William would do A WHOPPING 911,790 damage.

All in all, William's skill Whirlwind is the highest damaging skill of all.

A New Hero

Yes, a new hero is in Mini Warriors. WELCOME to the game, Octavius.

Refreshes

The new refreshes have compelled me to make the following guide bit on the stats for refreshes:

Bronze Refresh-10 per day, all free.
Silver Refresh-1 free per day, costs 5 tcrystals after that.
Gold Refresh-80 tcrystals.
Goblet/Holy Grail Refresh-1 Holy Grail/Golden Goblet

The following are your approximate chances of the best hero that shows up when you refresh with the following.

Bronze-About 50% 1-stars, 48% 2-stars, and 2% 3-stars
Silver-About 60% 2-stars, 15% 3-stars, and 5% 4-stars.
Gold-About 70% 3-stars, 30% 4-stars,
Goblet/Holy Grail-About 100% 4-stars*

*-unconfirmed

Game Update 1.7.1

1.7 has changed MW forever! The PVP system now makes it easier to get those savage heroes, and way more content, like a new type of refresh makes this update epic!!!

BIENVENIDO EL CIDI (Welcome, El Cid)

(English)-I now own El Cid! Yep, another four-star hero! El Cid has the ability of always having a "Obsidian Halo" above his head. The "Obsidian Halo"  protects El Cid, giving him a defense boost. Welcome, El Cid. Fun fact: El Cid = the lord in Spanish.

Sorry for poor translation but...

I've been reading Septimus Heap lately, and I must say, It's an excellent book. Although this doesn't have anything to do with Mini Warriors, I suggest people read Septimus Heap. It's a good book.

Strengths and Weaknesses v3

Strengths and Weaknesses

Update v3 is now out, featuring some improved tactics for getting rid of enemy savages.

Types of Heroes:
Written in this format:
Type-Example

Infantry-William
Pikeman-Leonidas
Paviser-Carter
Cavalry (Sword)-Harold
Cavalry (Pike)-Reed
Cavalry (Halo)-El Cid
Archer-Azod
Mounted Archer-Nicolai
Arbalist-Kelly
Musketeer-Sarky
Mage-Merlin
Healer-Sarah
Hammerman-Shazzo
Morning-Star Warrior-Tyler
Axeman-Helmar
Savage Infantry-Roderick
Savage Archer-Ponsonby
Savage Cavalry-Cannon
Savage Arbalist-Hedvig
Griffin Knight-Uriah
Whirler-Gauvain
Whirler Knight-Galahad
Longswordsman-Omar
Bodyguard of Urza-Lilac
Holy Knight-Lancelot
Dark Knight-Galahad

Strengths and Weaknesses:
Written in this format:
Unit A > Unit B
Where Unit A is weak against Unit B

Infantry > Cavalry
Mounted Units > Pikeman, Longswordsman, Urza Guard
Pikeman > Paviser? Infantry?
Most units > Musketeer
Musketeer > Fast units (Cavalry, Savage Cavalry) and Long-range units (Archer, Mage)
Paviser > Mage
Mage > Fast units
Paviser > Cavalry
Melee units are blocked by Pavisers, making them vulnerable to ranged units.
Arbalist > ? (Maybe fast units)
Fast units > Pikemen/Paviser depends. Mounted > Pikemen, others > Paviser
Savage Units > ? (This is quite difficult, but I've never really had a problem with savages, so I have no idea what their weakness could be. I would just go with the fact that their weaknesses are the same as the other units.)
Use pavisers like walls to block units so your other units can destroy enemies that are blocked.
Unfortunately, mages are EXTREMELY OP against any melee units, especially when they all hone in on a single hero (Carter died is less than five seconds when this happened). Best way to kill mages is to rush them with mounted units (make sure they don't get distracted by pikemen or pavisers or they will insta-die) or to shoot them with archers/musketeers. Mages tend to target either close units to them or distracted units. I have a strategy where I use pavisers to block units and pikemen to block mounted units and I then use mages to destroy the hero commanding the squad that is blocked. I suggest you try that too.

Story Explanation v2

Mini Warriors Story Explained

Updated this page. v2 now.

So far, from what I can piece together here is the story behind mini warriors:
Staged in the land of Matilda? or Matilad? seen it spelled both ways.
I wish Trinity could spell check their words. One second something is spelled one way, the next it changes the next again it changes. In fact, I almost thought Cooney (god of elves) was a misspelling of Cordelia (goddess of elves)
God of Light VS God of Dark
Balthazar VS Nigel
Most heroes follow Balthazar (like Joan) but some do follow Nigel (like Belthor).
My confusion comes in when I realize my army is split between the two gods. Belthor pledges allegiance to Nigel, and Joan heard enlightenment from Balthazar. Shouldn't they be fighting on opposite sides? Me no understand.
Random fact: Carter is king of the dwarves that live in Noserlin. Are there any other types of dwarves that live somewhere else?
Urza is daughter of Cooney (god of elves) and Ermantrude (goddess of twilight).
Goddess of twilight is Urza's mother.
But Helmar's description completely undermines that fact.
Helmar's description:
...But the Vikings are a legend along with goddess of twilight.
???
More confusion.
Random fact: Philinus looks a lot like Sarah.
Lol morgana is short.
Caucasus is a kingdom/empire/country/etc.
Who leads Caucasus?
Who is Arthur?
Two different Edwards: Edward and Edward IV
One is a pirate-musketeer, the other is a king of a island country called Lisle. Lisle? Wut?
Foggy Wolf is the strongest regiment of the Caucasian (sorry for racism, couldn't think of what else you'd call and army from Caucasus) armies. Foggy Wolf is lead by Uriah and de facto led by El Cid. William is friends with Uriah.
Shazzo leads four and his team is known as the "five lions".
Shazzo leads Kent, Tyler, Joseph, and Matt.
Matt competes against Kent for the position of Colonel. Both try to convince Tyler and Joseph that they are the better one.
Tyler and Tor have a sibling disagreement.
Joseph is distracted by the though of his widow mother.
William is also friends with Shazzo.
William is most likely going to become king of Caucasus. Is he a prince or something?
Reinhard leads Sandell armies.
Where is Sandell?
SO MANY QUESTIONS! SO CONFUSING!
Nicolai is nephew of Urza. Nicolai's mother is a Bebryce. What is a Bebryce? Googling time!
Not sure what a bebryce is, results came up as various things, such as cacti or something. here are my results, you can see for yourself: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=Genus+Bebryce
Galahad was once a paladin, exiled from Caucasus for learning dark magic. Now is Alexander's first night.  From other hero descriptions I get the idea that this war can be graphed like this:
Balthazar VS Nigel
Arthur VS Alexander
Holy Heroes VS Dark Heroes
Other Heroes VS Other Other Heroes
Sarky is a human musketeer who feels he is superior to all musketeers.
Lancelot is friends with Gawain and Hilda.
Hilda is friends with Morgana too.
Lancelot has a crush on Cordelia.
Gawain has a crush on Hilda.
Simple!
Robinhood is raised by Ceva/Seva (can't tell). She has perfect archery and serves for Alexander (dark king?) by choice. So Robinhood is on Nigel's side?
Edward sacrificed left hand to Nigel for power. Through tricks, he gained Arthur's trust. Basically he is a double-crosser. Also simple.
Elizabeth fell in love with a man who only loved her beauty. So Elizabeth used relics to regain here
youth. From her depiction I get the feeling that Elizabeth is on Nigel's side.
Leonidas is a spartan all over again. What does he have to do with Spartacus tho?
Joan was first to hear enlightenment from Balthazar. Joan of Arc reference.....
Cannon, chief of savages.
Hedvig, sister of Cannon.
Kelly has relations to Baron, and fell in love with Ceva/Seva. Wait a sec...... Seva raised Robinhood. WHAT? So Robinhood is daughter of Ceva and Kelly? But Seva and Kelly want to get together after the war. Is Seva a widower? *Facepalm*
Baron is a childhood friend of Nicolai.
Merlin: ??? Random 200-year old powerful magician guy. ;)
People who serve others:
Harold and Klaus > Hilda
Lilac and Grizel > Urza
McCue and Lambkin (maybe Valentin and Towneley) > Carter
Una > Merlin
Ophelia and Keith > Belthor
Tor and Dudefella > Joan
Omar, Milo and Marshal > Gauvain
Loras, Pluto, Belloc, and Moses > Keats
Joseph, Matt, Tyler, and Kent > Shazzo (The Five Lions)
Gerald, Bernard, and Donald are triplets.
Harlan and Myron hate each other.
Diana and Elena are telepathic sisters.
Maximus is son of Gauvain's piano teacher, they are friends.
I cannot tell the difference between Gawain and Gauvain. I think the correct spelling is Gauvain as Trinity uses it.
Dudefella? Really? Worst name ever.
Plan to have Baron as king of elves. Xavier supports, Asquith does not.
Luter is a slave owner who has a crush on Euxine, but his slaves attempt to stop Luter from actually doing anything with Euxine.
3 Old Elves:
1. Urza
2. Ladbrook
3. Philinus
Ladbrook's description says that he is the eldest elf excluding Urza. What about Philinus, uncle of Urza? Surely Philinus would be older than Urza then?

Poor Grammar

I notice that as Trinity correctly spells some words, they misspell others. When Trinity changed "chance" to "change", they misspelled unit into uint. Now they changed "uint" into "unit", they mispell other words. Ay-ay-ay!

Well, the November rewards have ended and I'm collected December rewards now. Homework is at a MAX this week but hopefully there will be less by next week. I'm still looking for pictures of the new heroes.

BTW, have you noticed I did two "Post #9"s?
