Hero of the Day Series Returns! Daily Hero #38-Manto

That's right everyone! The hero of the day series is back!

To celebrate the return, I'm going to begin with a hero that will be taking a while to release. Manto, a new healer.

Hmm... very interesting.  I'd say that his skill is equivalent to placing healing orbs. Hmm... could be useful. I'll put 8.9, for being a near equivalent of Sarah.

Credits to moneyforsluts for the image.

Unstable Eugene

Sometimes Eugene does better than Lancelot and Sarah:

Sometimes he does worse:

Too unstable!

Ignatius‘ Ability

Ignatius = tank buster v9000!

Look at this:

Gawain died really early in that round (enemy GDR somehow ended up fighting him), and Sarky (along with Belthor and Circe) got massacred by an enemy Merlin, so that can explain why they underdamaged. But Ignatius still outdamaged Leonidas at such a low level. WOW.

Philinus Get

I got Philinus right after Ignatius (saved up three goblets, got a three-star with one).

IGNATIUS!

Woot! Ignatius get! Ignatius get!

My Checklist:

Ignatius
Sarky
Gilles de Rais
William
Edward
Octavius
Cannon

Three more ones I want! (Of course, I'm never going to get Merlin, but whatever)

A New Experiment

While I'm working on thePVP experiment, I'm also working on another one: how
are skill proc rates calculated?

Priority

iOS always gets new versions of the game first, then Android, leaving us Kindle gamers to wait millions of years to get the update.

PVP Update

Okay, so far gathering data seems to be fine, and I've gotten pretty good data:

Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. Sorry :/.

Cross-Platforming

Interesting, I can log on to any Kindle, Android, Samsung, etc. device with my Mini Warriors account, but I can't log on to an IPhone. Hmm... something about the versions? Noo... the versions are the same... Anyone know why?

More Opinion on Hilda

Again, my opinion is changing... geez, I know i'm indecisive, but I think I'll use Hilda as a subber from now on... Hmm....

A Big PVP Experiment (RECRUITING!)

Recently, in a different post, found at this url, Frozen Mop brought up the idea of running an experiment with the game's PVP ranking system to see how the system matched you up with opponents. Such an experiment, however, would require quite a bit of people. Thus, I have decided to post this in an attempt to recruit others to help me with this experiment.

3-Star Arbalists

Another good  type of 3-star can be the arbalists, as they are decent enough tanks and give you enough punch bark and bite. I'm wondering if using 3-stars is smarter at higher levels, since they may lower the AP of the enemies you face against (by matching you with weaker enemies).

The Hole

Discovered that my top half was getting overrun a lot. Found out it was because I had Joan in the front. Once, I thought Joan was good in the front. Now, I have a very different opinion. Well, gotta get Level 60 to get that Eugene in.

The Resurrection Mage

This mage will completely cause Circe to become obsolete. Darn it, why is it that once I start using a hero in an OP way they become obsolete? Also, I'm changing opinions on Hilda again.

Dilemma #5: Carter VS Shazzo

Carter only is effective for reducing AOE damage. Shazzo is only effective for reducing minion damage. I think Carter is slightly better than Shazzo because of how minions work in this game, but to be hnest both can be easily dispatched by Ignatius. Another tough dilemma....

An AOE Comparison and Guide

Tons of heroes in this game are AOE heroes. Today you get a comparison and guide for AOE.

3-Star Archers have slightly weak damage with high proc rate. Edward IV definitely would help.

3-Star Musketeers have very good damage with low proc rate. Edward IV might not help as much (he buffs damage, and if he overbuffs the musketeer's damage it will be overkill)

Sarky is just best AOE in the whole game (maybe only Merlin is better).

Merlin is epic. Lightning shocks are incredible.

William has to go into enemy lines to AOE, but useful for taking out enemy mages while the rest of the armies battle. Hmm.... trying unconventional strategies now.

Although technically not an AOE, Belthor is a interesting guy to have in your AOE rallies, because sheep + AOE = quick enemy massacre.

Edward is an AOE hero, although his skill isn't the most important of skills. It's his luck that makes him valuable. He also works well with Belthor because of his ability to clean up sheep easily with all those lucky critical hits.

Edward IV is another hero good for AOE. At lower levels he is very versatile, but as your skills are upgraded further and further he becomes less and less versatile.

Since the 1.7 update, when GDR was implemented, AOE has always been vulnerable. Thus, you need a method to protect your AOE. The simplest way is to use Octavius with Hyacinth (Octavius' attack goes up when he takes damage, not when he is at a certain health, thus he and Hyacinth's healing make it simple to take out GDR)

Shazzo may also be able to work well with Edward and Belthor, and if Galahad was added into the mix, a good mix it would be. Galahad stuns eroes long enough for Shazzo to decrease their defense. Belthors renders them vulnerable after polymorphing, and then Edward pumps shots at the enemy while Sarky blasts everything away. Octavius and Hyacinth take out enemy GDRs, and finaly William busts the enemy mages. Pretty good combo in my opinion. Lancelot, the other AOE cavalry, is also decent because of his helaing strike. I say Lancelot is therefore another useful enemy mage-busting weapon. Now... how to incorporate Joan into this?

Top 10 Favorite Heroes

These are my top 10 favorite heroes. Remember that these are simply my favorites, not just the most powerful heroes. Please do not use this to build rallies.

10-Hyacinth
A guy on a horse, who has a frigging angel halo of healing power that basically keeps troops alive for the first 40~50 seconds. So useful, and amazingness in a pure state.

9-3Star Archers
Sorry for writing the name weirdly, but otherwise it would have been confusing (9-3-Star Archers, wot?), but overall i'm pretty amazed that one guy can fire a rain of arrows at the enemy (tons and tons of arrows). Coolness.

8-Sarky
Sarky is very cool, and he does have bombs, but unfortunately the animation isn't to my liking of what bombs should look like when going off. I'd like him better if his bomb animation had more "BANG" or "BOOM" instead of just a fiery blaze. But still, all musketeers are cool.

7-Gilles de Rais
Yep, GDR here. Although he is VERY useful, I still felt that Octavius and Ignatius had upper hands on GDR, so in the end he was docked to seventh.

6-Octavius
This rank was EXTREMELY difficult to finally decide upon, because Octavius is the best way to kill GDR. However, I just didn't feel I liked him better than Ignatius. He just doesn't look as cool.

5-Ignatius
This is where the ranking gets tough (I started from #1 and went down to #10), but I'd have to say Ignatius' ability to pierce through armor gives him the upper hand over the heroes below him. Only problem is he can't kill GDR. But still, nothing's perfect.

4-Merlin
To be honest, old men with mad magic skills are always badass. 100% of the time.

3-Nicolai
Always been a fan of hitting all enemy heroes, even if not for much damage sometimes.

2-Edward
Overall very cool. Stun-bombing crazy pirate. Only reason he's not #1 is because I haven't been able to test him much.

1-William
Although I really like Edward too, I haven't been able to get him and thus I can't test him. Once I get him and test him, this ranking may change. Also, he reminds me of ninjas (because of Lego Ninjago and Spinjitsu and whatever all that weird stuff was about).

New Series

I got an email from a viewer of my blog who prefers to stay Anonymous. This anonymous person gave me an excellent idea for a new series. Starting now, on certain days, I will be doing Top 10s. These are just going to be about my opinions on Top 10s in the game. If you still don't get how it works, then read the daily post, and hopefully you will understand after that.

Dilemma #4: Leonidas VS Ignatius

Both are tank busters, but they work differently. Leonidas kills tanks slower, but will allow all your troops an added critical hit bonus, working well with heroes like Edward, William, and others. Ignatius, however, is the absolute best tank buster (except for GDR, need Octavius to counter that), but he does not buff your other troops, unlike Leonidas. Hmmm... I think it is very even here, but seeing as Leonidas has worse stats than Ignatius, I say Ignatius has the upper hand.

New Hero Names

Just wondering about what the names for the new heroes could be. Personally I think Attila fits the berserker, Luke fits the resurrecter, Leonardo (Da Vinci) for the mechanical musketeer, Jacques for the reviving troops infantry, and Kublai for the paviser. Agree? Disagree? Post it in the comments!

Coming Soon

1.8 still not released. Maybe a week to a month for it to come out?

But....

New 1.8 Heroes Update

Okay, Trinity has released the images of the new heroes, as well as their skills, so I've decided to do a little commentary about the heroes.

Firstly, a paviser with healing abilities might be good. Hmm... trying to figure out how to utilize that.

Reviving infantry troops with HP bonuses... Good tank?

Some barbarian berserker. Might not be so good.

Mage of resurrection. Oooh, another healer!

Musketeer with mad mechanical skills. Woot! Might be a fun hero, like Circe.

Blog Revisions

I feel that my design for this blog is terrible. Doses anyone have any suggestions on what I should start doing? Just a question for people out there. You know, I kinda miss the Daily Hero series. Maybe I'll start another series soon.

1.8 Now?

Trinity's employee vacation is almost over! Does that mean they will be releasing 1.8 (since they worked really hard on it, so they gave the employee vacation) soon! I hope so! Also, sorry for the short post-writing this very late at night because the power busted for two hours (perfectly during my two hours of free time).

Another Determined One

Dale, a Prestige 67, chose to challenge me four-times, losing at all four times. I think it's because of his rally, can any of you spot the errors? I know of at least four errors from a quick glance.

No More Daily Heroes

Now, what should I start doing for a new series now that the Daily Four-Star Series has ended? Please reply for what you think I should start doing!

Daily Hero #37-Lancelot

With Lancelot, the series is finished. Remember how Galahad was first? The other AOE cavlary, Lancelot, will be last, thus. Hmm..;. I say he and Galahad are on par with each other. So.... 7.8, just like Lancelot.

Intro Screen

The intro screen is very interesting. I want to discuss this.

First of all, there are two Shazzos and a gray Shazzo. Second, there are at least three Chariot Lords. Then, there are two Galahads. Interestingly enough is that the Chariot Lord's horses are like Galahad's horses but they are brown instead.

Daily Hero #36-Robinhood

Robinhood is a decent archer, and he could work decently well. Hmm... 8.5 is suitable.

Second-to-last hero!

Before to After

I see I have enough crystals for a gold refresh:

Then I use the refresh:

Daily Hero #34-Gilles de Rais

Well, we are VERY close to ending the series. Three more heroes after this one.

Okay, the actual review. So... GDR is the best tnak in the game. And in this game, excellent tanks are highly necessary. Overall, I feel GDR is a complete must-have (a 9.5) until a better tank (or virtually any decent tank comes out. Hopefully on of the new five is a good tank.

GDR isn't very lucky in love, unfortunately, because although he has a crush on Joan's sister, Joan's sister Joanna is already engaged to the 3-star Noah. A four-star's love stolen by a 3-star?

What GDR is probably thinking after this:

Ragequits and 1-Star Reviews

I find a lot of people ragequitting the game and giving 1-star reviews because of two main reasons:

  • Either the game doesn't update for them, or
  • They feel stuck at ~Level 70-80
Now, the game failing to update is a very challenging problem, but I encourage people to wait a couple days before uninstalling the game if the update doesn't work. Sometimes the update may show up after a couple days.

If you're stuck at levels 70-80 (or virtually at any level), it is most likely because your rally is not performing at it's best (or it may because you lack certain four-stars). In that case, I have a rally help page available under the useful information section on the sidebar.

The Greatest Dilemma

Post 300 will be about one of the greatest dilemmas of all time. Arthur VS Alexander. Arthur is a VERY good tank, and those are much needed, but Alexander's buffs are very powerful. Who would you rather use? And why?

PS, no daily hero today.

Two Types

There are two types of people that challenge me in PVP. There are gold ppl, who I often lose against, and their are shiny blue ppl, who I often destroy.

Fifty points to whoever guesses first the correct date of the last post in this format!

Or, in other words, when was my last post simply written as Post #

Fifty points to first correct guess!

Daily Hero #33-Octavius

This guys is the one way to kill GDR. Thus, I say 9.5 right off the bat without thinking, because GDR is tough to get rid of (maybe Kelly's one-shot will do the trick).

Oh yeah, need to mention something: On Sunday, June 7th, Hero of the Day may be suspended for one day to celebrate post #300.

Drawing to an End

Four things are drawing to an end:

School (2 weeks left, hooray!)
The second Mini Warriors legacy (Pre-1.8, because, it will contain major changes, just like one of the previous updates that ended to old legacy)
My second legacy (Posts 200-300, as this is post #296)
And... My "Daily Hero" series.

I suppose two of those are things to look forward to, and the last one is slightly sad. But still, I feel great, because it means less work more me!

Just kidding, I actually enjoyed writing the series. ;)

Hope all of you guys out there enjoyed the series!

Odd, if I did all four posts right now, it would perfectly finish off my series. Hmm... What shall I do for post 300? I am actually asking everyone out there. Please reply with what I should do!

Offline Battles

Does anyone ever wonder if the offline wins count towards your PVP battle wins? I sure do. Check back soon so find the answer!

That is, IF there is an answer. Life is so mean sometimes.

Daily Hero #32-El Cid

El Cid becomes more and more useful at higher levels, because of his tanking skill. Plus, he is very mobile. Hmmm... I say 8.9. Maybe I'll rerank Hilda later!

Halos

Just a list of heroes with halos of some sort:

El Cid
Hyacinth
Alexander
Arthur

Not that many really.

Daily Hero #31-Hedvig

Hedvig is a very average hero. I would not suggest using her. Rating: 6.1.

Hedvig can only work is very rare situations. Some of theses are when other heroes lack.

Chariot Lord

The lord in the chariot has always been mysterious. Who really is going to be this hero? His image has come out since the beginning of Mini Warriors but his name/skill/stats/anything is not known. All that is known is that he is in a chariot. Before recent updates, I thought he was Arthur or Alexander. He is neither. Arthur is short, and Alexander rides a horse.

Hmmm....

The Original Ten

Looking back in the history of Mini Warriors, I dug up this image:

Can you guess who the original ten heroes (all shown here) were? That's right. William, Shazzo, Helmar, Carter, Merlin, Belthor, Nicolai, Reinhard, Galahad, and Uriah. Uriah's skin has changed since the time of this image, but I suppose you can still tell it's the guy with the hammer onthe horse, like it always has been.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Helmar only has one axe here?

Modern day Helmar:

My reaction:

Daily Hero #30-Philinus

Philinus is the savior of your heroes. While Sarah heals all your minions, Philinus ensures that your heroes are not slain (or relatively tries to ensure this). 8.9 for being a equivalent of Sarah.

Rally-June 1, 2015

I keep forgetting to do these. Last time I did one of these, it was back in April (April 22). Well, this rally has Shazzo in it!

I'm considering trying out Morgana and Robinhood. Also, I got Shazzo leveled quickly with tomes.

Shazzo Get!

YESS!!!! GOT SHAZZO! Finally a dry spell has been broken!

PS: Shazzo is the last of the five lions I got.

Daily Hero #29-Edward IV

Edward IV's stimulation buffs are very helpful, but with a good enough Hilda you can counter Edward IV. All in all, Edward IV is a semi-must for AoE rallys. Bottom line: 8.8.

PS:Lancelot has many friends, and it says that Edward IV, Hilda, and Gawain are all best friends with Lancelot. Morgana is also a good friend of Lancelot.
