Attempt 2

Sam didn't reply to my post in the Chinese forum, so I'm hoping he'll see it in the English forum. It's worth a try, right?

My Guild, My Rules

Just so you guys know, apparently there is going to be a guild chat, so I'm creating a few rules about what type of people I'm looking for in my guild.

No swearing/explicitness.
And you gotta be active.
Other than that I'm fine.

Idea Post Out!

http://forum.trinitigame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=130&t=545671

Now it's time to hope. A LOT.

Because:

First Sam has to actually see the post.
Then Sam has to actually read the post through.
Then Sam has to think I'm worth listening to.
Then Sam has to pass it on to the development team.
Then the development team needs to make the changes.
So many maybes...

Frustrating Hero-Leveling

I find it very annoying to level up my heroes so that I can actually use them more effectively. Anyone else think that heroes level too slowly?

1.9 Hero Information

Yes, I did stay up this late.

Anyways, here is some information about the new 1.9 heroes' skills, and my rating (on a scale of 0-10) how useful they will be.

Anatol: Soul Harmony-When a friendly hero dies, Anatol will receive 8% attack and max HP of the dead hero. 6.5
Charles the Great: For the King-Hero's attack increase 60%, and when hero's health drops below 50% of max HP, Hero summons in an extra squad (equal to minions at start of battle). 9.0
Cyrus: Arcane Arrow-Hero and minions deal double damage to any enemy who has been damaged by a skill before the attack. ~7 (depending on his stats)
Einar: Multi Shot-40% proc rate, and will deal damage to 15 enemies around the center of Einar. Attacked troops' defense will drop 45% for 10s after the attack. 9.0
William Tell: Lucky Apple: 65% proc rate, gives two random heroes a lucky apple. The lucky apple makes the hero ignore damage. 7.0

Anyone else notice that we now have two Edwards, two Charles', and two Williams. This will get confusing...

My commentary:
Anatol could be used as a backup unit (for when the rest of your army is dead), and as a good counter against 3MA strategies. Charles the Great is the first Charles to actually be great. He seems like a good tank. Cyrus could do extreme damage when paired up with any AOE (even Edward lol). I see Einar as being potentially useful for wrecking big tanks like Alash (there are so many ways to kill him now), and William Tell would work excellently with Reinhard, Eugene, and so many others.

Then again, Triniti is probably going to nerf these guys so....

Also these are all tavern heroes. Time to spend eleven goblets!

1.9 HAS BEEN SUBMITTED

1.9 has been submitted, it should be out VERY SOON!
I am so gleeful!

Happy Thanksgiving!

In the world of Algers, upon the continent of Matilda, in many different places, many different people give thanks.

Ignatius: I'm thankful for the fact that everyone likes me. Hopefully I can stay that way.

Gilles de Rais: I'm thankful for being a good tank...but I'M NOT THANKFUL for the fact that the love of my life, Joanna, is being married to NOAH!

Reinhard: I'm thankful for the fact that people actually think I'm useful now, because I was worthless before.

Philinus: I'm thankful to have received such a good friend as Reinhard!

Alash: I'm thankful for being a useful tank where many tanks suck...YAY!

Sarky, Merlin (in unison): I'm thankful for being able to wreck enemies.

Charles Martel: I'm thankful for... for... uh... there is nothing I can be thankful for :( .

And then, in the real world:

Gamerichie: I'm thankful for all of my followers and readers, and the fact that many see me as a prominent player and a cool person. Seriously, thanks everyone! Have a happy thanksgiving!

Taking a Try

There are many things we would all like to change in this game. However, on the forums, when things are posted nobody ever seems to take these ideas into account. On the Chinese section however, things are very different. So, I'm going to take a gamble at collecting a bunch of your ideas and translating them into Chinese for those on the Chinese section to take into account. Then, we would probably have a much better game.

Post what you want me to add below!

FRA #1 Fixed

The FRA from yesterday is now fixed.
Also, to continue the FRA series I actually need material to do it with...
I'd love it if you guys sent me some stuff and ask me why you failed.

Failed Rally Analysis #1-Callum

"If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive a doer makes mistakes"
-John Wooden

I'm starting this new series to analyze a failed rally (one that failed against a battle) and why it failed. After all, we learn from our mistakes. By the way, if you would like me to analyze your failure, just send me your image of your rally VS the enemy rally and I will tell you just what happened.

Today's FRA is a battle between Callum and NiNjAMaN (who actually reads my blog).

So, why did this fail? Greater army power, but less strategy.

  • Alash VS Achilles is NEVER a good idea. Achilles is the perfect counter for Alash.
  • Why is Gilles in the row with just a Reinhard? He'd be better off going against that enemy Gilles and Sarky instead of against Reinhard.
  • Saladin seems kinda wasted just buffed an Alash, Terim, and Nicolai. He'd do better with Ignatius.
  • What is Morgana doing in the second row? She could probably do a lot better silencing Sarky or Philinus (and thus preventing him from healing Reinhard)
  • Eugene as the sole tank against Lancelot, Ignatius AND Seamas is a terrible idea. Putting Hyacinth and maybe Lancelot/Leonidas into that row for extra tanking ability isn't a bad idea.
  • Terim just behind Alash, in my opinion, is not a good idea. Firstly Terim, if used behind Alash, should have extra melee in that row and should be behind the extra melee. On top of that, I would put Terim against Sarky along with Gilles to ensure that Sarky is countered well.
There are two things I want to note that are good though.
  • Elizabeth is used to counter Philinus + Reinhard combo.
  • Ignatius is a good way to kill Gilles.
Should I continue this series?

MW Math #1-Cedric + Temple Pavisers

It's time for a new series-a math series. Basically these are just calculation posts.

This first math post question:
Does giving Cedric temple pavisers make a significant change in his tanking ability?

Let's assume all battles take 3:00 (and that Cedric lives through all of that).
Let's also assume Cedric has 25 pavisers.

Since Cedric himself get's the heal, the calculation becomes
26 x 100 = 2600 HP/s healed by Cedric and troops.
Next, 3:00 = 60 x 3 = 180 seconds.
180 x 2600 = 468000 HP/battle, or 18000 HP/unit/battle

With temple pavisers:
26 x 120 = 3120 HP/s
180 x 3120 = 561600 HP/battle, or 21600 HP/unit/battle

So yes, it would make a significant change.

But I feel like I need to go an extra step. Would this temple paviser buff increase his ability to go against AOE?

Let's use Sarky for this.
Sarky level 10 skill does 2362 damage 6 times, but only attacks 15 enemies (remember this is with my attack boosts, it might be different). So, let's change the previous calculation for Cedric with 15 pavisers.
16 x 120 = 1920 HP/s
1920 x 180 = 345600 HP/battle, or 21600 HP/unit/battle

Sarky would do 2362 x 6 = 14172 damage
At my level pavisers have ~9000 health (IT'S OVER 9000!!! lol jk, back to the math).
So Sarky would REK Cedric and his pavisers.
But how about at a higher level? I can see why Frozen Mop believes Cedric is somewhat good at higher levels...

Crusaders

I find crusaders tend to lack the HP necessary to instantly kill an AOE-heavy hero (Sarky, Merlin, etc.), but they can do quite well against Lancelot. Lancelot procing once against a crusader squad often kills all my crusaders but kils the Lance too. What do you use crusaders for?

Also, I stil haven't solved the dilemma of what would happen if Seamas got crusaders.

Forums

Looking through the forums I have seen some large changes. What once was a place where players of all types discussed the game is now a place where 95% of threads are questions. Now, while I don't have anything against questions, I'm just wondering what this is a sign of. I've got my own theories but most of them are highly improbable.

Cedric Buffed

If Cedric was given temple Pavisers, would he become a much better tank?

Mysterious Island-Guilds

Has anyone else noticed the mysterious island in the lower left-hand corner of the game map? It seems to have no use for now but I predict it has something to do with Guild PVP. I'm betting that's where you go for Guild PVP. Click on that to enter the Guild Arena, most likely.

1.9 Hero Info

I'm just sharing all this with you guys, it's actually initially from Triniti.

Einar Unit type: Mounted archer Skill: Have {0}% to release, dealing {0}damage to enemies around the center of attacking troops. Defense of target enemies will reduce by {1}% for about 2s.

William Tell Unit type: Archer, Skill: Have {0}% to release, giving each of {0}heroes one lucky apple. Heroes receiving apple could ignore skill damage for once.

Cyrus Unit type: Arbalist, Skill: Release at start of the battle, giving hero and hero's units arcane ability that dealing additional {0}% damage to enemies affected by negative effects.

Anatol, Unit type: Archer, skill: Release at start of the battle when a friendly hero dies, hero will receive {0}% attack and max Hp of this dead hero(Restored immediately).

Charles the Great, Unit type: Cavalry, Skill: Release at start of the battle, increasing hero's attack by {0}% and when hero's Hp is below 50%, hero will summon {0} squads (Summoned squad has hero's own units level, type and size)

Seamas + Crusader

I wonder... what would happen if Seamas got Crusader units? I can already see a mini-GDR going...

AOE is going to have a tougher time.

Guilds

Just a disclaimer-I'm not associated with any of these:

VIE, CHN, or ~Myst.

For 1.9 I'm going to be creating my own guild "Order of the Elites". If you want to join (as 1.9 is just around the corner), the only requirement is that you should play somewhat often. No skill reqs!

What I mean by this is that I want to reduce incoming requests as much as possible. If you want to join, I suggest you join now to ensure you have a spot.

If you do want to join early, just me your IGN (in-game name), Prestige Level (I want to get an idea what type of people want to join), and why you want to join.

1.9-BETA TESTING

Finally! 1.9 has been released in a Beta phase and is currently undergoing testing.

http://forum.trinitigame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=130&t=545395 for more details. If you don't understand Chinese, a rough translationg of the page states that 1.9 Beta Testing invitations have already been sent out, also they are creating a QQ chat group for this Beta Tester group.

Ah... I wish I could test as well...

5+1 Counter

I think I have found a way to counter a 5+1 rally effectively. A 5+1 rally only works because Reinhard has sufficient tanking ability to hold back multiple enemies at once. If he were to be killed, a 5+1 could fall apart relatively quickly.

So, to take apart a 5+1, you need to kill Reinhard. There are many ways to kill Reinhard, and I just have a few ideas right now.

  • Robinhood
  • Elizabeth
  • Bellerophon + nomadic cavalry archers
Anyone else have any ideas?

Pray For Paris

This post doesn't have anything to do with Mini Warriors, but I felt like the Paris attacks should deserve a post of their own.

France is still undergoing an investigation about the Paris attacks.

Idea

I want to know how the RNG of the tavern works. I thought I found a couple ideas a while back, but more data is still needed. I want to find something new, however. Could there be a way to predict the odds of a four-star by finding out more info on two and one stars? I have noticed that there are about 60 two stars and also about 60 one stars. I do see that for some reason, the same heroes pop up for a couple refreshes in a row. With 120 choices of heroes to pick from, there should be barely any chance that a hero shows up twice or more...

Tune in for a math day tomorrow!

Injustice!

So, this stage is called "Injustice"...

Well, the only thing unjustified is the fact that there ARE SIX MERLINS! Although I could obviously win this fight, I can see why some people might rage. Six Merlins really makes a rally overpowered...

Rabbit VS Turtle

There are two types of leveling in this game. You can level quickly (like a rabbit) or you can level slowly (like a turtle). Most of you may know that there is a story about a rabbit and a turtle in a race. The rabbit ran way ahead of the turtle, but stopped to sleep and the turtle eventually defeated the rabbit by not stopping. Thus, slow and steady wins the race. In Mini Warriors, something similar is necessary.

For example, leveling quickly will cause many to stop leveling so quickly eventually (when you notice your army power starting to lack compared to those around you). I feel like this is happening to me at the moment.

Leveling slowly, on the other hand, means all your heroes and minions alike are maxed. However, leveling too slowly somewhat prevents progress to a certain degree. The reason I said "something similar is necessary" is because, although leveling slower is somewhat better than leveling quickly (in the long run), a balance is still needed to ensure you actually do progress.

I am not at a point where I can say that this is true completely, but hopefully there is enough truth in it to help some of you. And those at higher PLs than me can confirm or deny.

Losing Interest

I'm starting to lose interest in this game. I think I might take break from this game until the guilds come out.

Low Army Power?

Sometimes people ask me why they have low army power. I'll use a recent PVP battle to answer this.

Take a look at dfefan's rally. It is of a person with higher prestige. But where does the low army power come into play? If could be from his heroes, but it is more likely to come in the form of units.

Take a look at this second image:

His troops are severely underupgraded. They are hovering around Lv 130. My troops, on the other hand, are clustered around Lv 180 with a few I didn't upgrade up yet. 50 unit levels on all your troops gives you an extra 40000 army power, so upgrading typically isn't a bad idea. After the rebalance of army power, I feel that you can rely on it a bit more and lower levels (like mine!).

Anyways, that being said, I also want to point out a glitch. In the top photo, next to Galahad there is Nicolai. Nicolai leads mounted archers. But in the bottom photo, it claims that the hero in that spot has ARCHER minions. Not quite sure why this happened...

Don't Overload

Often, when a rally collapses, it is because a hero is overloaded. This can happen in one of four ways:

  • The hero's minions are matched against enemy minions that have an advantage against your minions.
  • The hero is matched up against an enemy with a perfect skill counter.
  • The hero is matched up against too many enemies.
When you match minions against their weakness, it can rip through your rally. Use the recommended minion type for countering an enemy as much as possible. Against tougher opponents, I suggest potentially swapping out some of your heroes for slightly weaker ones that can counter better.

The same applies for heroes matched up against skill counters. Hyacinth can be a very strong enemy hero-that's why I sometimes swap in and out Gawain.

Never overestimate the power of a hero and match them up against too many enemies. Alash can be wrecked by sufficient damage (as he is not invincible to everything) and Reinhard can be killed with a well-timed Elizabeth or Robinhood proc.

Make sure you don't make these mistakes (like me) when you are playing the game, ESPECIALLY in PVP.

Too Much is Not Good

A critical way of building rallies is to use the given advantages/disadvantages of the minions against each other. When you have too much of a single type of unit, your rally can become quite weak.

Too much infantry results in a major weakness against cavalry.
Too many pikemen makes your rally squishy.
Too many tanks causes your rally to be too defensive and you won't be able to do enough damage.
Too many ranged units causes breaches in your frontline and resulting in your ranged units being massacred.
Too much cavalry can cause breaches and make your rally squishy (cavalry do die quite often)

Remember to use a balanced rally and to use certain units against enemies weak to them (e.g. Pikemen VS Cavalry, Cavalry VS Infantry, Mages VS Pavisers).

Advanced Units #2-Pikemen

URZA
Urza is an interesting hero to pick here, but I will say Halberdier is the better choice as Urza gets two lives to boost his troops with. (Typically his troops always die before him, so unless you use a Hyacinth along with Urza I can't see much use in that)

LEONIDAS
Spartan is the obvious choice here. Not only is Leonidas already a Spartan, he dies too quickly for Halberdier to work effectively.

GAWAIN
For Gawain I still need to test this out. I don't know which advanced unit is the better choice but I do have a few ideas.

IGNATIUS AND ACHILLES
These two heroes are so similar in usage that I have grouped them together. For both I say Spartan is the better choice because they both can get tons of kills with their units. The heroes themselves are somewhat squishy, and Halberdier will probably not be as effective.

Free Accounts

Okay, I'm addressing all the people begging me for accounts with four-stars, etc. in this post.

I will DEFINITELY not be doing this, I don't know why people would think I would do this.

Firstly, it's a waste of my time to be honest. Sorry to be blunt (and maybe a bit rude) but I just cannot do this.

Also, to give an account away I would need to register a new account on a new device (one account per device...), and I don't nearly have enough devices for everyone to get an account.

To get four-stars, I'd need INSANE RNG and after obtaining all four-stars myself I don't think it's possible for me to be able to get tons of four-stars on another account. Remember-I am a player and an average human, not a god or a Triniti employee. I don't have any affiliation with Triniti either.

So sorry everyone, but it just isn't possible.

To Hack or Not To Hack, That is the Question

Many people want to hack in this game and I have received several questions about whether hacking is okay or not in this game. My answer is OBVIOUSLY NOT! To play this game and actually enjoy it, one must play it through legitimately. I do understand that the RNG of this game can be a bit cruel (40 refreshes for me without a four-star) but still you must persevere on! Hacking is one of the worst things you can do in this game, and I definitely do not encourage it. Besides, hacking is something that can and WILL get you banned.

If you're one of those people requesting an account with four-stars and good items, I'll deal with that tomorrow ;)

Edward Troops

I'm currently using Edward as a crit damage unit so I'mm wondering whehter to give him heavy musketeers to work with his skill or bombadiers to work with his luck.

5+1 Advantages and Disadvantages

Using a 5+1 can be a very effective way to attack enemies. However, there are a few disadvantages.

First, it only works with PL ~70+. If you try it with lower PL (because of lower hero amount), it can leave gaping open spots in your rally.

Second, Reinhard is not a tanking god. He has faults and can die. If he does die it can severely leak through and get your ranged units massacred by a Lancelot that got through. Often my Philinus squad gets attacked and killed.

Advantages? Quite a few.

5+1 is a good idea if you have good three-star archers. The rest of your army attacks with strong firepower and your Reinhard (and maybe Alash) hold back until your army gets there. I prefer using my "firepower maximum row" in a 5+1 rally.

My "firepower maximum row" is a row consisting of Hyacinth, Ignatius, Saladin, and Octavius.

Friday, November 6, 2015

5+1

This is a rally style that is quite popular nowadays due to the new promise in Reinhard. Several high firepower rows are made and Reinhard is meant to solo the rest of the enemy. Tomorrow I will discuss advantages and disadvantages.

Also, sorry about missing Octavius on yesterday's post.

Advanced Units #1-Infantry

greenlama recently gave me the idea to start this series. Remember, everyone, 90% of my content was suggested by someone, so please continue with suggestions and requests of what you want to see in the future!

I'll be comparing advanced units in this series. As there are two possible paths, sometimes it can be hard to choose.

There is the crusader, that works somewhat like a GDR troop, reflecting damage on enemies. The other possibility is the scutarii, which stuns quite often. Both are highly defensive types, but which one is best? For each hero, a different troop could be used to better effect, so I'll be directly comparing them for each infantry hero.

WILLIAM
William is a good damaging hero p, but unfortunately often dies too quickly. In this I'll say scutarii, to improve his defensive capability. I would use crusader occasionally, if I'm using him in a position to protect my archers in the top row of my 5+1 rally.

SEAMAS
I still need to experiment around here. Seamas could be very good with crusader (mini GDR) if the ability works for both his minions' lives. If it doesn't, I'd go for scutarii instead.

REINHARD
Definitely crusader. Reinhards troops die so often I feel it is better to allow them to damage Reinhard's attackers rather than use a potentially failing stun attack.

JOAN AND SALADIN
Scutarii. It increases the chance that one of these will be able to start dealing dangerous damage out.

HELMAR AND RAGNAR
These two die so quickly I think that crusader is the only option that would work. Suicide attackers...

OCTAVIUS
Octavius is meant to be a half-suicide frontline infantry so I would say crusader, but I still need to test him

However, remember this is just a general guide. There are situations where using one can still be better than the other even if I didn't write it here.

PVP Bug

PL 187 guy challenged me with about twice my rally power...

>_<

Yep, definitely lost that one. They need to fix this glitch...

Sorry about the lack of an image, stupid image glitches are annoying.....

?!

Not sure what exactly happened, but on a friend's phone he was playing PVP and one of his opponents, Blume, was Prestige 0 with some crazy attack power. Blume had ten heroes that were level 67000, and they weren't even displayed. Stil trying to find info, also the images glitched out. I will repost them later.

Dealing with Lancelot

Nowadays Lancelot's procs are so overpowered I decided to create a whole post just about dealing with him. Gawain should be the perfect counter but if the enemy has a Hyacinth that would be a better use for Gawain. Achilles can counter well enough if you are using Gawain against an enemy Hyacinth,  but if you don't have Achilles Leonidas or Ignatius could do just as well. Basically, just use any four-star pikemen. AOE damage (especailly 3-star archers that proc a lot) can help to cut down on his health pretty well, and why not just use Lancelot against himself? It can buy you some time to do that.
