Mysterious Heroes

Before you read the post, please remember that this took nearly thirty minutes to gather information about. There is no other post today as a result of this. Anyways, I REALLY hope you enjoy this, because thirty minutes is a new record for any post I've ever done.

Throughout Mini Warriors history, I have found several images of heroes that have popped up, but were never added. I will show some images here and I'd like you guys to reply with your ideas to whom these strange images are.

There are at least four unknown heroes on this one. In the front, next to Carter a White Knight (Shazzo?) is visible. Behind Arthur and next to Morgana are two others. A Native-American archer behind Morgana and a Gothic Spearman next to Morgana. Finally, the last one is next to Cannon, in the back on the left side. This character seems to be like a variant of Leonidas, but it cannot be Leonidas, as Leonidas is also in the image on the opposite side. I also want to point something out. Orcs are on both sides, suggesting that perhaps orc heroes will be available in the future?

Sorry for the bad quality on this next image. This one has a mysterious female mage looking somewhat like Elizabeth. Was it Elizabeth's original skin? Might it be Cordelia? Ermantrude? Sarah's mother? The world may never know.

The next image has slightly better quality. Featuring an odd savage spearman with red hair and a mysterious potions mage. Hmm....

And on the next one, the famous chariot lord. Could this one be a five-star?

My Opinion #7-Tavern Rates + Tips

I feel like I've been pretty lucky in the tavern. I also think I figured out the trick to getting more four-star heroes, but by "trick" is unconfirmed and could potentially be risky. Anyways, I'm only missing the following four-stars at PL81:

TAVERN HEROES
Edward IV (looked through my heroes realized I don't have him)
Terim (I don't care, Terim sucks!)

QUEST HEROES
Merlin (not planning to spend money)
Uriah (not planning to spend money)
Cannon (almost there.... 250 more.....)

OTHER HEROES
Mary Read (not available lol)
Manto (not available lol)
The five new heroes in 1.9

My trick, just so all of you know, is firing as many unused heroes (except for four-stars) as possible. I had a large streak of four-stars (nearly one a day) at one point when I didn't believe in collecting three-stars. Then I tried collecting three-stars, and failed my streak (40 FAILS-IN A ROW!). I broke this failstreak with GDR, but continued to fail. I thought maybe the game had some beginner's luck idea implemented, where your rates were higher for lower PL people. But then, I don't know what made me do it, but I fired all my three-stars and my four-star rate immediately HYPERJUMPED to 1 in about 3 or 4. I got Nicolai, Edward, Jerome, Kelly and Alash in the same week. Ever since then I've made sure not to have too many three-stars, and I've been doing quite well. I find that saving up at least 3-4 gobletscrystal refreshes always lands me a four-star every time I try my luck. I saved up about 16 refreshes worth of goblets and crystals, and got Achilles, Saladin, Bellerophon, Ragnar, and Seamas (formerly Summers) in the same go. I know that might not be the best example, since Seamas is not a very good tank and Ragnar and Bellerophon are terrible, but still, they are four-stars, and the only four-star worth getting from the tavern for me is Edward IV. Of course, I'm still PVPing my way to Cannon.

Anyways, this was copied straight from the forums, but since it was copied from my own post no harm is done!

The MW Blog, 3.0

Made some new changes and deleted the old background with tons of heroes everywhere. Hopefully this is more suitable to everyone and nothing is hard to read anymore.

I changed the description and a few of the fonts to fit with the Mini Warriors theme. Enjoy!

1 in 3

Saved up about 15 refreshes, used them all.

Obtained:

Seamas (formerly Summers)
Achilles (bye-bye, Leo)
Saladin (AOE it up!)
Bellerophon (good.... now I can lag out the game, but Belle is useless for everything else...)
Ragnar  (never going to use him)

Rally-September 25 2015

I'm trying out a modified 5+1 rally. So far it's working quite well.

My Hardest Battle Ever-Results

Today I fought against a Prestige 87 guy. This was the hardest battle I've ever fought. Here are the results:

Nicolai did as I expected, he proc'd often and killed tons. I put a heal necklace on Alash by accident lol. Edward and Ignatius' troops did excellently, with those critical and armor-pierce hits. Hyacinth was slightly disappointing. It was those three-star archers that really AMAZED me. One GDR won't be able to hold back against three or four of them. I've always tried to make versatile rallies, but I this is the end for that. Time to buff up my AOE!

Tomes

How did I get so many of these tomes?

Series Archive Now Available!

An archive of every single series I've ever done is now out! Will be completed soon, just like the Hero Guide!

Dillemma #6: Morgana VS Hedvig

A common question I get from many people is on the topic of silencer heroes. There are two in total, Morgana and Hedvig. The 3-star versions don't actually silence.

In almost all cases, Morgana is the preferred choice. Hedvig only elongates cooldown time, but that can be more useful than Morgana.

Morgana silences really deadly enemies such as Merlin and completely blocks out their skill, rendering them close to useless for a period of time. However, Morgana's silencing doesn't last as long as Hedvig's cooldown changing.

Let's compare the level 1 skills.

Morgana-40% chance to silence a random enemy hero, preventing him from activating his skill for 6 seconds.
Hedvig-20% chance to deal 62 damage to an enemy hero and increase 3 seconds tfor this hero's skill CD. The effect lasts for 10 seconds.

When used against a musketeer such as Sarky with a ten second cooldown, Morgana's skill simply prevents the musketeer from procing for six seconds. Hedvig will increase their cooldown by three seconds, and with the poor proc times musketeers have, this could severely impact enemy musketeers.

This might be an inaccurate comparison, since I'm comparing the level one skills and not level ten skills.

Makes No Sense

What....

I don't get it. What's with the hero story? Elger isn't even mentioned xD.

Also:

This story took me a while to figure out. What it means is that Lorrie is the right-hand man of Omar (a right-hand man is basically like a subordinate that is second-in-command under someone else), and that Lorrie is more arm strength than man. Still hard to figure out? Don't blame yourself. I literally used half a day! :)

My AOE-Part 2

This is what I see most of the time:

Yeah, Azod does lots of damage, then my well upgraded Galahad and Gawain do quite well. Sarky is 5th with < 17000 damage.

Really Sarky? By the way, he is clearly alive in the background, spot him yet?

Also what the what happened to my musketeer Alfred? He is not even in the top 5. And yet Azod does 342K.

>:(

Wait, there Alfred is. At least his minions did well. *Cough**Cough*SARKY!*Cough*

Which Three Stars?

There is a wide range of three-stars that are available to most people. Since one can only fit so many heroes into their rally, which ones are the best ones to use?

Top picks for me are AoE. Musketeers and archers are tied at the top, as they both have situations in which they can be better than the other.

Next layer, polymorph mages. The can be a major pain for your enemy in certain cases.

Healers-not that good, but still usable.

Spartans, or three-star Leonidas troops. These can be almost as good as Leonidas is many situations. Also at this level are shockwave pikemen, which can wreck enemy frontlines, Halo Cav, which are quite good as attack and defense, Stomper Cav, which provide a steady stream of AOE, and Holy Knights-mini Reinhards.

Dwarf Pavisers are worse, as there are so many tanks choices better.

The worst? Five lions troopers. Their skill is next to worthless.

My AOE-Part 1

This is what I see occasionally:

This actually rarely happens, because of my musketeers' really long cooldown rates and low procs rates. William usually gets a lot better, because of his low cooldown rate and high proc rate.

Also, sorry for messed up image, Imgur failed on me :(

Morgana

I find Morgana can be quite useful, and Morgana has busted me out of quite a few situations, but overall I don't like her except for the situations mentioned here:

VS Merlin - Perfect way to stop him from procing.
VS Sarky/AOE -For times when GDR fails.
VS Circe - Now she can't clone my epic damage Sarky
VS Any hero with dangerous skill - Yeah...

Complete Guide of Heroes 50% Done!

The title says it all. Check out this new addition to the blog in the Useful Information section on the sidebar.

My Opinion #7-Down or Up?

In previous posts, I've mentioned that the game is going downhill for a lot of people, but I've never stated my opinion on this matter. I think the game is going both ways. 1.8 has been good for me, allowing new strategies (I kinda like 28 instead of 20 slots), but also the new heroes and new mechanics are pretty cool. What I don't like is the timer. Also, several other aspects of 1.8 aren't that good. The XP balances, for one example.

Gold

Time to cash out all of my gold on upgrades. This event will be fun!

My reaction:

Special Stages > PVP

I find the special stages tend to give me more XP than the PVP stages. I think this is so becuase the special stages only cost 6 energy, or 40% of how much PVP battles cost. In the long term I know doing both are good, but when I'm doing homework I find special stages are a lot easier to do, as not a lot of rally changing is necessary. Even on the four-star stages with lots of Merlin and Sarky, I find I do fine, mainly because the enemy frontline is too weak to hold back my troops long enough for AOE to proc enough.

I do want Cannon, however!

Hero Stories

Sometimes I just like to read the hero background stories just for fun. Anyone have a personal favorite background story? Mine is Luter's. He's a slave owner from another continent who tried to abduct someone named Euxine (female from what I can piece together).

New Heroes!

Check out the new heroes at httpforum.trinitigame.comforumviewtopic.phpf=115&t=543662。

So, what do you guys think?

Firstly, I see that William Tell is here. Well, i'm a bit of a history geek.

William Tell is basically the Robinhood of Switzerland.
Charles the Great? You mean Charlemagne?

I'm still figuring out the rest...

What the What?

Unfortunately by reflexes weren't fast enough so no picture :(

Anyways, saw GDR get bombed by a low health Sarky, Sarky immediately began to take chunks of 333 damage stacked up 20 times (from GDR's 20 minions ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)).

Then, Sarky died after two reflections, but has his skill causes damage six times, he should have taken more damage, except he's dead, right?

Well, he came back to life for half a second, died again, came back to life again, and died again, and this repeated 5 times in a row.

Filling

Using different types of strategies create different types of rallies. Something I'd like to discuss today is how to fill up a rally.

Before you reach PL 60 and get 18 hero slots, you should focus on filling rows, as if there are not enough heroes in a row, the enemy will run through that easily. Between PLs 60-80, it becomes only semi-important to fill up all rows, and if you have Alash or Reinhard or other self-sufficient tanks, it is possible to use only one hero in a row. Remember at this point it is very crucial to make sure your AoE survive. Good AoE skills are also very important. After PL 80 making sure you have at least one hero in every row is not a bad idea, but just make sure your army is balanced. If you concentrate all your power into one section and do not provide good enough tanking ability in the weakspot, your rally will slowly fall apart.

Win or Nothing

It seems to me that recently my rally has been challenged very few times compared to what usually happens to me. I'm getting either a lot of victories or just nothing at all.  It is because people are unwilling to challenge my rally (too OP?) or is it because they can't even see my rally? I've been crushing all PVP challenges up to 5 PL's higher than me, the only problems I have are with >PL 80, because they get one more hero than me. Not fair! :/

My Opinion #6-5 + 1

Since I reached the sixth post of this series I decided to describe what the 5 + 1 strategy is (get my logic? 5 + 1 = 6).

Firstly, what is the strategy? Well, it's basically where you fill up 4 rows completely and one row with only 3 heroes. Then, (I'm not sure if it always has to be Reinhard) you add a Reinhard on his own in a row.

Well, I honestly think this strategy is a pretty good one against enemies, but I don't believe it has a very good capablity defensively. Were the enemy to charge you with a load of cavalry against Reinhard, the whole rally could fall apart pretty easily. I'm still studiying the strengths and weaknesses, however.

Urza?

I'm wondering if Urza could potentially work with Philinus, just like Reinhard. Perhaps he wouldn't be the best of choices, but for those who have no other good heroes, Urza could serve as a decent tank until Reinhard is obtained. Anyone have any different opinions?

Gift Codes-EXCLUSIVE INFORMATION!

I have gotten some info recently on the topic of the Mini Warriors Gift Code, which was something introduced in an earlier version but no active gift codes have been seen yet. Personally, this subject is of the utmost importance to share with everyone out there.

The gift code seems to be something like a promo code, where Triniti will release one to the public and anyone who finds one may use it in the in-game gift code box. Following this, the player will receive the rewards associated with that gift code.

Also, there are rumors that Goathumper has got one, but are not 100% confirmed...

Rally Help Reopened

As many of you already know, the Rally Help has already been restarted and opened to the public. Hopefully it doesn't start eating all my time again.

Also, I'm going to be starting a live Q&A kinda thing. Sometimes I'll be on the my Mini Warriors chat room, and I can answer any AND ALL questions you have LIVE there.

So... yeah. By the way, I am on right now in case you are reading this at 8:00 Pacific Time.

My Opinion #5-Healers

Four healers in the game. Which ones are best? Here is my opinion.

Hyacinth is at the top. That halo is especially good to protect your frontline. Unfortunately, only lasts for 40 seconds. :(

Philinus isn't that bad either. Protecting your heroes is almost as important as protecting your frontline.

Sarah is probably the worst four-star healer, because she isn't nearly as effective as Hyacinth.

Manto is currently unconfirmed, but he could potentially be Sarah's replacement because of the fact that his heal is very powerful, but doesn't work when heroes move out of the range. However, if Manto gets nerfed he is very likely to start failing.

My Opinion #4-Odd Choices

I find some players (mostly Korean players) like to use some really bad heroes, such as Charles Martel, and Bellerophon. I do not know why they use such strategies, but it makes them really easy to defeat, because having one less good hero can cost you a win. And, although it is possible that ALL these players have no more good heroes, I am highly doubtful that all of them would not have anything better and be forced to choose Charles Martel and Bellerophon. After all, wouldn't a musketeer or an archer do better?

Okay, not sure why, but the last three newsletter emails have not been sent. Also, the newsletter email system is failing to work in the way that it is supposed to work, so I have shut it down. Everyone who is currently subscribed will be automatically unsubscribed. Sorry for the inconvenience. :(

My Opinion #3-1.8.5 Morale Cooldown.

In 1.8.5 there seems to be a morale cooldown that is going to be added. Well, like everyone else, I ABSOLUTELY hate this idea. Why would you even add a morale cooldown, Trinti? I honestly think there is no point in this. At the rate things are going, Mini Warriors seems to be going downhill. I already have heard many stories of people quitting and I feel this game will die soon inf Triniti does not listen to the complaints of the people.

The Way the Cookie Crumbles-Mini Warriors

In case you don't understand the title of this post, it basically is a metaphor for "the way something collapses". Anyways, in the case of Mini Warriors, often a rally will fail because too much power is centered in one region. I have noticed several enemy rallies, especially one I won against today (PL 84 with 125000 AP, GG!). In this case, I used a William, Octavius, Ignatius, and Hyacinth combo against a weak enemy row focused mainly with damage and had no good tanks. Anyways, I ripped through the front line (Leonidas), then Ignatius decided to go into the lane above (good idea, Iggy, take out that Merlin!). Anyways, I ended up completely wrecking the both two lanes and from there my forces on the top managed to stay alive long enough for my damage sections to mop up the rest of the enemy. Overall time-1:53, GG! Plus, he had Merlin.

( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º)

Huh, this emoticon glitches everything out.

Reinhard the Blowhard

During a battle, my Reinhard got completed wrecked. I lost to someone while I was offline, and they used the following row:

Robinhood Elizabeth Kelly Gawain

Against my row that was:

BLANK BLANK Philinus Reinhard.

Well, you know what happened-I got rekt. Soo, it seems that Reinhard isn't always that good. I'm not sure what killed Reinhard first, Gawain, Kelly, or Elizabeth, because it seems all three could have very potentially done it. Robinhood probably wouldn't have killed Reinhard but he? she? definitely would have weakened him.

Anyways, Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone!

PVP Grinding Time

I've got every hero I want except Cannon, and oh dear, this is going to be a frustrating goal. I'm only at 800 PVP wins, so... yeah. Going to take a while before I rack up another 500. I'm slightly doubtful as to whether this is worht it or not. Ah well, at least I'm beyond 50% done.

Pavisers-Still Bad!

The advanced pavisers are still that notch under the other types of units. Why?

Firstly, Templar Pavisers have more healing efficiency, which negates (to some effect) healing deficiency, like the skills of Gawain and 3-Star Shockwave Pikemen. However, this could still work decently with Hyacinth and GDR combo.

Then, Heavy Pavisers (I swear, these names are not very creative-they are basically the same for every unit) take EVEN LESS damage from attacks. I can see myself upgrading Carter with these so that he gets epic SKILL and DAMAGE reduction, but then again, Ignatius is still going to rip that whole chunk up. Wait, unless Carter's skill also reduces the damage from Ignatius' skill?

Well, that begins another experiment! Unless someone already knows? Because, I don't. And I'm going to be honest here.

The Forgotten Ones

Looking through Mini Warriors history I found several occurances (acutlaly quite a lot) where heroes once introduced were good/okay in their day, but lost power later on. This happens because of two occurances.

One-the hero was debuffed.
Two-the hero slowly got overshadowed by better heroes.

Examples:
Hilda-Used to be very useful as a resurrection cavalry. But then she was debuffed and then rebuffed with barely any power, and she remains at the bottom of the four-stars.

Helmar-There was a time when Helmar was a very good infantry. Back then he only had one axe, and multiple vikings, and now he is completely terrible in a day where minions matter as well.

The reason I'm leaving this post like this is because I want you (the followers) to come up with your own descriptions. I'm trying some new things, and I want to involve my followers in my new ideas.

My Opinion #2-Four-Star Refresh Rates

After a long experiment (found here) conducted by Lucette and much of the Mini Warriors community, the four-star appearance rate seems to be around 18%. However, I do not believe this information is accurate. The experimenters range widely in the amount of four-stars and three-stars they have. Some are Myst members, and have nearly all four and three-stars. Some are complete starters, and have little to no four-stars. Although my theory has not been 100% verified, I still would like to run my own test in this method. I don't know many people who are willing to dismiss all their three-stars, but personally it seems that dismissing three stars does have an effect on the four-star rates, at least for me.

Want to join in on the experiment? Come to the forum page here.

Octavius Get!

Yay, got Octavius.

Here are his stats:

Also, pay attention to the dismiss button on the next two images.

So Octavius (whom you can't ever get again) is dismissable, but Alash (whom you can ever get again) is not? What's up with this, game?!?!

Derping Around

I'm not even sure why I'm writing this post, by I honestly just felt like derping around, and this is the result.

First, Reinhard trolling two enemy paviser squads.

Next, Summers is very short, and the stone minions are very ugly.

Joan is just standing there like she just does not care. Summers is getting PWNED by a rain of ninja knives.

Yes!!

In a very old post, I requested a new type of unit like a thief or a rogue. It has FINALLY COME!

I found that the advanced arbalist units include an assassin unit that can potentially one-shot an enemy minion. The lower the enemy's health is, the better the chance for a one-shot.

The other advanced arbalist is the Heavy Arbalist, which has a 25% chance to reduce a hit enemy's defense to zero. I can see this becoming useful as a powerful unit against pavisers. Add in some musketeers-no, wait, they have shorter range than arbalists. That's not going to work.
