Joan’s Follow-Up

First of all, I want to say that my guide refers to attack only rallies, since i don’t care too much about defending myself. My defense rally is literally El Cid lol, this is because there is no point in winning a defensive battle, and hence I’m making the life of my attacker easier :)

Second, I tested Joan quite a lot in that position since she is my preferred hero of all 60. I can assure to you that she does not die as quick as you think in the frontline. Simply because there is so much attack power in that line that it is able to wipe the enemy line without problems. (This opinion/fact of my rally might be biased by my level, my heroes’ level and my attack power so take it as it is).

Third, a huge thank you to the guys in the forum that left feedback in these days. I learnt a lot of new stuff and I want to expose their opinion to you readers. The idea is the following: I suggested to put Joan in the frontline, they told me that it is also good to put her in second/third position in the line. I’m a big fan of the idea of putting her in the second position like this:

Where Lancelot, Gawain and Belthor simply represents a category of troops: cavalry, pikes and mages. If you want you can go crazy with melee, even though I think that it is not optimal, and create something like this:

The line that I like the most is the next one. Seamas and Charles are able to exploit Joan’s boost a lot, due to their double troop. There are 75 infantry and 50 cavalry soldiers here to boost :) Sarah is just a random mage; she will heal your troops. You can change her with a lot of others ranged heroes such as Eileen. I really like the idea of having Eileen in third position between Charles and Joan. While the 3 melee heroes will focus on troops, Eileen will run enemy heroes down with her nomadic cavalry.

Everything I showed you in this follow-up is just a suggestion and nothing more than that since I didn’t test any of these lines. For further information I’ll leave the link to the topic of the forum here such that you can check the opinion of who suggested this configuration to me, they are far better in explaining this Joan’s fact than me.

As previously said, I’m a really big fun of having Joan in the second position and I think that I’ll give a shot to this configuration in the future. I also really like the idea of a line with (Charles)(Eileen)(Joan)(Seamas) respectively with shock cavalry, nomadic cavalry, crusades and crusades.

I want to give credits for this inspiration to: chappers770; leee; ImperatorX; a special thanks to Cipher who is one of the few that explains stuff straight and clearly. It is always better to have more than just one opinion, thanks for sharing with me your ideas!

    1. yes for sure, but only in early game. in late game there are still better heroes. i think that the only way to exploit urza is to put him with joan.

anyway since charles the great and seamas both summon 25 troops, i still think that urza is shit in late game. but i have to test him and discover how many soldiers he summons as skill12. i know he summons 14 soldiers at skill 11

    2. He summons 20 at lvl 12.
So bascially he has become a must have on high levels.

Urza, Charles and Seamas in a rally means 20+25+25 extra minions.
