Where Have I Been, Again?

Recently I've had three questions as to what has happened with me and why I suddenly disappeared.

I might do more posts again in the future, but a lot of things have come up recently and the fact that I kinda quit Mini Warriors for a while is the main reason I haven't posted in a while.

Nice to see some people still actually read this though, which means that Mini Warriors is not dead! :D

EDIT: I see that people like to come here for the Heroes Ranking and the information I have on the game, sorry it's outdated, but at least it's better than the Wix site, amirite? No jk I'll probably re-update it again someday.

Took a looking at the last Heroes Ranking page... It's from 2015... JEEZ that's a long time ago.

Poorly Built Rally

I'm not sure what this player is doing with their rally, they haven't upgraded a lot of their troops, resulting in a 114k AP rally at PL133:
I don't understand why you would do that...

Needless to say I defeated him.

Empty Rally?!

I come across some really strange PVP enemies, here's a prime example.
Technically this isn't PVP, this is my legion mate AllMac:
Their rally is literally nothing. There are no heroes, and I'm not sure how they did this.

I entered the battle and instantaneously won.

Alash didn't even finish triggering his skill! What happened?

Saturday, May 20, 2017

Almost

Saw a legion battle enemy reduced to almost nothing:

I assume my legion mate just ran out of time.
There were only two enemy heroes left, and neither of them had a squad:

Surprisingly, the battle actually took me 1:44 because the AI kept placing giants or militia that would take forever to kill.

And the end goal? Sarky actually did a MASSIVE amount of damage.

Higher AP PVP Battles, and Circe is OP?!

I hope all of you know that Attack Power (AP) doesn't actually matter a whole lot, I fought two 290-300k opponents (with my 273k army) and won both stages.

Here was the easier battle:
(as an interesting part of this battle I discovered Terim's dragon could tank Robinhood's skill, which may be a good or bad thing. If it tanks it it will die super quickly, but on the bright side it's not a very important hero to lose... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

I have a couple of strategies I use for these battles.
First of all, make sure all units correspond to strengths and weaknesses properly. I always make sure I have all the strengths and weaknesses planned out so I can deal maximum damage while taking minimum damage.

Another key part is to use your rally effectively. A little strategy goes a long way, and never underestimate the power of any four-star hero (yes, even heroes like Charles Martel, Anatole, or Ragnar, although that doesn't happen as often)

Here was the 300k AP battle:

I found a couple things were very effective in this battle.
First of all, I moved my tanks around so Reinhard had less to deal with and therefore Philinus and Terim weren't overrun. Overloading a single hero can result in failure.
Secondly, I got an early edge when Einar and Sarky tore through their rows. I find an early edge is very useful (if it doesn't happen, use morale skills to turn the balance of the battle back into your favor)
Thirdly, Charles the Great was placed in a row where he would take a lot of damage and therefore spawn his second squad in, which helped greatly in tanking for that row.
Fourth, Choe Yeong survived for the entire battle, and was able to get many skill procs in, allowing maximum troop spawnage.
Fifth, Circe was important, as she cloned some of his best heroes (cloning Bellerophon allowed me to get extra troops--they don't disappear when the illusion disappears :D)
And finally, I used some rows to stall enemies, effectively blocking his damage rows until my other rows could get to attacking them.

Here are some stats from the battle:
Einar and Sarky, doing their usual AOE damage, with Circe's illusion (she cloned enemy AOE heroes) doing a close third. CTG's second squad counts toward hero's damage dealt, so that's why he ranks pretty high up.

Philinus did a very good job keeping Reinhard alive:
Leonidas healed a lot because of his hero emblem (which I have up to third tier)

Jerome really surprised me, dealing more damage than Ignatius! I'm surprised Achilles didn't make it on this list, I forgot what happened to him. Mages a really good with damage, and musketeers (Sarky at the bottom) don't do too bad either.

And I'm beginning to notice a trend. Circe's cloning ability can be very good if the opponent has a hero that summons extra minions, especially Charles the Great. If the enemy has a 5-star hero emblem upgrade on CTG, couldn't Circe cloning him effectively spawn in 3 squads of cavalry?
Note, that is for every proc, I have seen Circe proc very often (twice in three seconds)
Therefore, you could use (or abuse) this ability to summon in 150 extra troops by cloning an enemy CTG.

These new unit-summoning heroes just found their weakness.
Circe is a great hero in that aspect, she can use any enemy ability against them. (cloning Merlin was great)
I could foresee a way to counter unit-spawning rallies through this.

Rally--May 18 2017

Sorry if this is a little concentrated, but I generally like to post a new picture of my rally every time I make a significant-ish change.
In this case, I've added Circe back in and Laverty is doing a different job as a tank now. I plan to get him to Shock Cavalry to soften up enemies for my pikes to mow down, and his squad serving as a tank squad for the rest of the battle.
Also, Einar returns to the back row so there are less chance he'll charge right into the enemy lines.

Paris Get!

I think that sums it up for the heroes I wanted, got all of them that looked like they were interesting.
Unfortunately the picture glitched out, so I don't have it.
Sorry :/

Surprising Statistics

Cleared another Merlin Trial, here are some interesting statistics from the battle:
Terim tanked a lot:

Philinus healing OP:

Belthor, Jerome, Philinus all did a lot of soldier damage apparently:

Rally-May 14 2017

My rally has been modified to use unit-spawning heroes more, because I think these could be a new meta. Choe Yeong has been accommodated nicely, and I did some research and discovered Charles the Great's last tier hero emblem is very overpowered (so many squads he spawns in) and I definitely want to get in on that.

Choe Yeong Testing

So here's the detailed post on Choe Yeong I promised you guys!
I tested him in several different spots.
He leads pavisers, at Lv10 his skill summons 12 extra units next to him every twenty seconds (it appears to occur at exactly 0:20, 0:40, 1:00, etc., so if he gets quieted or he dies and gets resurrected later he can miss some of the summons)
I got a LOT of pictures (mostly from the same two or three battles)
Here's his skill in action:

As another little fun bit, apparently he does a weird battle stance when releasing his skill, as can be observed in this next picture:

That is a LOT of units, it looks like he has at least two squads' worth of units in that picture.
On some testing stages Choe Yeong kept getting silenced, so he failed to release his skill, like what happened here:

Choe Yeong has very good tanking abilities, extra units are always helpful. I'd put him in the back row so he can get to the frontline as late as possible, triggering shortly after he reaches the frontline.
Here's his tanking ability in action:

At the end of the battle, if all of his units survive, there is a massive amount!
For example, in this picture, I'm pretty sure there are at least three pavisers attacking each enemy.

Here is his combined army towards the end of a battle:

And at the end of a battle, his extra squads stack on his normal troops, so the first twelve slots have four pavisers each:

Overall I would say Choe Yeong is a very good hero. He definitely should be put near Jerome/Philinus and other support heroes, and you want to keep him alive as long as possible.
He is essentially a wall factory that keeps generating more walls. With Heavy Pavisers that take less damage from normal attacks, he could be a very effective tank.
Even AOE may have problems stopping him, as he ends up with so many troops.

Now, I'm wondering if unit-spawn heroes could form a super-amount of troops army.
Combining Choe Yeong, Charles the Great, Urza, Bellerophon, Eulji Mundeok, etc. you probably could have a rally that could double it's size.
Make sure Urza has a Lvl 12 skill to summon 20 units and Charles the Great has fifth tier hero emblem for maximum troop spawnage.

I'm not sure if there is a term for this type of rally, but for now I'll just dub them factory rallies.
Have a good day, Laverty testing coming soon!

Blewett and Laverty

Got these heroes from consecutive refreshes :D
Two more heroes, Blewett looks like a good anti-AOE counter while Laverty should do nicely for a
cavalry tank/damager hybrid.
The question is, which heroes to swap out if these heroes are worth using?

Choe Yeong!

I'm so glad I finally got him, he seems to be a great paviser!
More information on him tomorrow, I'm feeling a little under the weather today.

Weird Side Scenery (Random Lols)

There are some weird things on the sides of the battlefield:
But first, me winning a battle with militia only alive at the end:

First odd scenery, there is a broken tower:

Also, a catapult:

Another catapult, broken tower, and a statue of a Leonidas-like figure:

Explanation of My Rally

I realized today that just showing my rally isn't going to do anything for you guys, and I thought that you guys might just see my rally and think, what are all these heroes doing here?

So I decided to make a post on explaining my rally and how it works.
Before we start, I just want to remind you guys that my rally generally will only work on players with PL 100+.
Here's my rally:

First of all, my rally is a 5 + 1 style rally.
What exactly does this mean?
It means I have 5 rows of heroes, with a hole somewhere, and Reinhard or other tank solo tanking two rows.
Let me start from the bottom row, which goes:

Cantello--Barfoot--Edward--Seamas

This is what is commonly known as a 'stun row'.
Cantello and Seamas (with Scutarii minions) both stun as much as possible to the enemy, while Edward's heavy musketeers do double damage to stunned enemies.

However, Barfoot isn't really part of this 'stun row', because I divert him.
What usually happens is that Seamas and Cantello chase their enemy quickly and Edward follows. Barfoot's attention is the directed to the row above.
Why divert Barfoot's attention?
Because he works better with the troops in the next row:

El Cid--Einar--Belthor--Carther

El Cid and Carter are the tanking of this row, they will hold back the enemy.
Meanwhile, Einar is proc'ing a massive amount and doing big AOE damage, while Belthor's polymorph helps the damage of that row (as well as his combat mages enhancing Einar's skill).
Einar's troops are Parthia MA, which effectively ruin an enemy healing effect.
I plan to upgrade Barfoot's troops to Augurs, which will reduce enemy defense until the enemy receives healing. But, even if the enemy heals and wastes my Augur's effects, Einar's troops will ensure that the heal is wasted.

The next row is a powerhouse row,

Sarky--Leonidas--Joan--Cedric

Cedric tanks the enemy, while the other three heroes destroy it.
Joan boosts, enhancing Leonidas' already high amounts of damage.
Sarky's massive AOE top off the row. It's a very simple row to understand.

The next row involves more diversion:

Baldwin IV--Jerome--Ignatius--Achilles

Baldwin IV's attack boost help Ignatius and Achilles inflict absolute wreckage. This is a very good breakthrough row. It is called a pike row because it combines a boost hero with two very storng pikemen heroes.
Jerome is diverted, to help kill the troops Reinhard is tanking. The top half of my rally tends to be more vulnerable, so Jerome's resurrection ability definitely comes into handy.

The row above that is simple again.

Philinus--Terim--Alash--BLANK

Alash and Terim tank (Terim's dragon deals with AOE)
Philinus is there to heal Reinhard periodically, Jerome may revive Reinhard if he somehow gets killed.

And Reinhard is up at the top solo-tanking.

Reinhard--BLANK--BLANK--BLANK

Baldwin IV Testing

I got Baldwin IV today:

So I tested his squad solo on an easy stage, here's what his halo looks like:

So, my overall impression of him is that he is a good hero.
The obvious swap-out is with Saladin, so I will discuss his and Saladin's comparison.
First of all, here is his skill:

REASONS TO USE BALDWIN IV:
  • Better attack boost, 38% at Lv10 VS Saladin's 33%.
  • Boost lasts for as long as he is alive, unlike Saladin's which fades away after a while.
  • Can boost more than just the units in a row if he kills his enemy quickly and moves to a different row. (can technically boost your entire army this way)
  • He has cavalry troops if you are looking for those. (I foresee Shock Cavalry working well with him, enemies with lower defense against your troops with higher attack sounds like a good combo)

REASONS TO USE SALADIN:
  • More consistent boost, if Baldwin gets killed the boost is lost, but if Saladin dies the row still has the boost.
  • Infantry troops if that is what you are looking for.

OVERALL:
Overall, I'm using Baldwin IV simply because he works with my rally better, but Saladin isn't necessarily a bad choice.

However, there is a very interesting aspect of Baldwin IV's skill, and that is the fact that Baldwin IV restores 5.5% HP every time a friendly unit (just from his squad I think) is killed. With a squad of 25 troops, thats 25 * 5.5 = 137.5% of his HP that can be restored over time as his troops are killed. This will DEFINITELY help keep him alive. Saladin's more consistent boost is not necessarily going to be more consistent if Baldwin can stay alive. Putting Philinus close to Baldwin IV couldn't hurt either.

So my overall judgement is going to be that Baldwin IV is a better hero.

HOW TO USE BALDWIN IV:
I would definitely suggest putting him in the 4th row of a pike lane. This way, he gets to the frontline just after your frontline and the enemy frontline collide, so he won't take as much damage.

Remember, the longer he lives, the longer your troops get that boost!

Leonidas' Hero Emblem

I've looked this up online, Leonidas' fifth tier hero emblem is pretty good, it ignores dodge.
So far, I only have him up to third tier:

Here is my gear for Leonidas:

Bonus picture: I discovered I have 100 bronze chests in my warehouse!

The Cavalry Decision

I really have no idea which cavalry hero to use right now.

HYACINTH--Decent healing, but can't keep up with the amount of damage enemies are doing.
GALAHAD--Not sure he's that useful, my stun row doesn't really need extra stun at the moment.
LANCELOT--Also not very useful.
HILDA--Can be decent to deal with enemy AOE, but isn't really working out for me.
CHARLES THE GREAT--Very good at Tier 5 Hero emblem, but I don't have that many emblems yet, it's going to take a while :/
EL CID--Currently using him to block AOE, his halo can reach to some of the nearby squads as well.
EULJI MUNDEOK--Not sure he's that great, he can spawn extra troops in every 20 seconds, possibly better than CTG but I really don't know.
LAVERTY--Don't have him, his skill looks pretty good but I've never tested it.

URIAH--I'm basically never going to get him so there isn't a point in considering him.
I need help on this, not playing Mini Warriors and not knowing how the cavalry heroes work now.

Rally-May 9 2017

In one of the previous posts I promised you guys a look at my rally, so here it is:

Yeah, CTG, Hyacinth, Octavius, the 3* polymage, the 3* archer, GDR all got swapped out for various reasons:

CTG: His extra troops weren't doing well enough to stay in my rally, swapped for El Cid.
Hyacinth: His healing couldn't keep up, 155 a second wasn't enough for my purposes.
GDR: Didn't concentrate enough AOE reflection to be useful, and didn't tank as well as Cedric or Carter.
Octavius: Noticed he actually wasn't getting that much damage, swapped for Leonidas.
3* polymage was just not working very well.
3* archer kept getting outdamaged by Einar, so I swapped Azod out.

Changes that will be made soon:
--Barfoot should get to Lvl 100 soon, which means I can upgrade his units to Augur, which decrease enemy defense (already low from Einar) Augur's defense decrease is negated when an enemy heals, so I put in Einar's Parthia MA to deal with that situation. The Augur's will still lose their defense decrease if an opponent puts healing units there, but at least they won't heal nearly as much.
--Saladin should be swapped out for Baldwin IV pretty soon, I almost have Baldwin IV:

One more 20 crystal contribution and a regular contribution should be enough to get Baldwin. I plan to switch out Saladin for Baldwin because Baldwin's attack boost appears to be higher.

That's all the stuff about my rally I have for now. I will keep changes posted.

Flashback

Was looking through some of my old posts, and dug all the way to my first post.
I just realized how bad I was at the game back then.
Here is a part of the post:

"
Heroes I Own:

Lance, Keats, Varian (dangit can't get rid of these guys)
Joseph
Towneley
Alfred
Audrey
Hingston
Azod
Englefield
Noah
Morgana
Joan
Belthor
Carter
Lancelot
William

Heroes I Want:

Urza-Dat 2000 crystal quest is annoying.
Hedvig-Lolwut so many dquests needed.
NICOLAI!!!!!!! #NICOLAIISAWESOME!
"

Whoa! I never thought that I would ever want Hedvig, Nicolai, or Urza back then over heroes like Sarky. It's hard to imagine my rally with only six four-star heroes, Morgana, Joan, Belthor, Carter, Lancelot, and William.
The majority of these heroes mentioned in this post have been dropped from my rally, with the exceptions of Belthor, Carter, and Joan.

What's Been Happening With Me?

I've come back to Mini Warriors briefly, and here is a summary of everything that's been going on:

Firstly, I discovered all the new content that was added, from the hero emblems to new heroes to new challenges.

I joined a new legion, The Black Army.

I obtained some of the new heroes, and modified my rally a bit.
Joan, Barfoot, El Cid (his return) and Cedric are some of the latest additions.

I dropped Gilles de Rais and Hyacinth for the time being, GDR doesn't reflect enough nor does he tank enough to my liking, and Hyacinth doesn't seem to heal well enough.

The last time you guys saw my rally, it looked like this:

It looks ENTIRELY different now.
My stun row and pikeman row still exist, but I dropped the polymage, the archer, Hyacinth, Octavius, Circe, Kelly, and CTG.
My rally is now at 270k AP.
Sarky, Carter, Philinus, and a whole bunch of new heroes are in my rally now.
I have a whole bunch of hero emblem heroes in my rally as well.
I'll post a picture to my rally when I can get it.

Mini Warriors II?!

Browsing through the last waste that is the forums, I discovered this:

http://forum.trinitigame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=550496

It is a thread confirmed the development of Mini Warriors II.
It apparently contains 3D animations and total battle control, adding even more strategy to the game.

I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Possible Resurrection of this Blog

I may choose to start blogging again, it depends on a lot of factors.
Anyways, stay tuned!
