I'm kind of noob compared to the guys in the comments, 'cuz I'm prestige 38, close to 39, and the highest hero I have is level 41, Bellephron. Before I thought Bellephron was super good, because of the Arcane Portal and all, and everyone I faced tried to target him first with a bunch of ninjas, and so I put my best equipment on him and upgraded his skill to level 7... but I saw ur posts about Bellephron sucking so . . . should I continue to invest or should I just cut him out? I still kinda like him since he kinda saves my butt in close matches with the arcane portal, and the arcane portal ends up saving my life. Cuz in the close matches, all other heroes (along with their squads) like level 40 Lancelot (level 8 skill which is pretty darn epic), Kelly (i dont know if i should cut her out since I don't think she's too good), Leonidas (even with the sparta thing he dies pretty quick in close matches), Urza (i dont know if i should cut her out), etc.
I just got Seamas, I think he's pretty tanky so far I've used him, and plus i like his art, don't judge lol. I think I'm certainly going to keep him, but I'm worried about like whether or not I should cut out heroes or not. These are some possible heroes that I might cut out:
Bellephron - I really don't want to cut him, since I really like him, but if you think so, I'm not a pro so...
Kelly - Not really good, I don't think, and also I've never seen her do the lethal arrow thing, and she doesn't really tank good, 2 lower level 3-star mage group beat her group real bad.
Urza - Well, I don't know. She's a pretty good 4 star. I really like the second life thing, because I think it pisses of the guy who's killing me and makes him/her go, "JUST DIE ALREADY!!!"
3-star musketeers - I have Donald and Alfred, both are pretty decent, I think, they perform their skills pretty often and decently, I've had them both attack a single squad once and they did firebombs at different intervals and pretty soon the Reinhard group died.
3-star pavisers - I've got Tyler, which has pretty decent attack and squad, he's maxed out squad (76) and 14 pavisers with him. I don't know if I should switch him with the guy like Lambkin or McCue.

You really should read "Frozen's Hero Barometer" on the official trinity forum. Some thing are arguable there, but overall that's really a good guide.
Bellephron sucks because his minions are weak, that's why additional minions are useless. Lancelot's skill is broken (100% instead of 40%). He's good (very good, almost imbalanced) now but I think he'll become average when they'll fix him. Leonidas is a good hero. Not one of the best, but good. You should max his dodge (his base dodge is one of the best, so give him 4* axe, 3* dragon helmet and 4* dragon boots) and do not put him in the first line. Urza sucks, she dies quickly after reborn, but if U don't have enough 4* heroes, U can use her for a while. Seamas is one of the best for high levels, for now he's just not bad.
For now, you are OK, because you have a low PL, but if you don't have a lot of 4* heroes, you should use 3* Archers, because they are really good with high skill level. They will destroy the enemy troops. I'm PL 107 and I have all the 4* heroes (except Merlin,Uriah... Cuz I don't want to pay) and I prefer to use 1 or 2 archers, before use bellephron. Kelly is really good with high level skill. And don't worry about it. You just started the game, after you will get more 4* heroes. Keep it up!

So here's my final list: cut out Bellerophron (bye bye, my first 4 star), kelly (not really regretting that), urza, and yeah. but the real question for me is, what else do i put in besides these then? I was dumb, since i thought 3 star archers weren't good, so i dismissed two out of three. D: So i have one 3 star archer in already, but i have 2 missing spaces. I have Noah, the guy who's like Reinhard's ability, and i've got a bunch of "Brutal Stomp" Cavalry guys, and I've got the helmeted pavisers, Lambkin and McCue, with the sacred shields which i don't think are that good, and I've got Tyler, a 3 star with defensive strats that like increase my defense by llike i think 20% or something, i forget. Also, I have Ophelia, the "Curse of Weakness" mage, and i've got Dean, the "Polymorph" mage (which isn't that good cuz of low proc rate), and i've got the pikemen like Maximus who have "Shockwave" and deal 56 damage to up to 15 opponents.

As I said if you don't have enough 4* heroes, you can use Urza for a while. But get rid of him as soon as you can, he's the worst pikeman among all of 4* pikemen in the game. But if you have 2 empty spaces and only 1 archer you should add another two. Just upgrade their skill to level 7+. Archers and mounted archers (but only if you have Nicolai) are best for your level. Polymorph mage actually is good, but also in the first place you need to upgrade his skill. And of course your first line must be strong enough, or else enemy's melee heroes will get to your archers too soon.
Hi, thanks for replying. I took your advice and kicked Urza, and replaced her with Roderick. He can soak up a decent amount of damage, and against higher level cavalry or whatever, can delay the group until the rest of my forces can engage. I also disagree with you about Bellerophron (sorry lol) because I basically just gave him a bunch of skill upgrades and good equipment, maxed out his units so that the skill could be effective. This helped a whole lot, and allowed me to win against other close matches, and I end up winning with nothing but a huge mob of about 40 mounted archers + Bellerophron against 15 mages/archers/any ranged unit. Also, because of his ability to summon in more minions, most players I go against use all of their morale to make a bunch of ninjas behind my lines to target Bellerophron, so, even though he gets reduced health (he never seems to die from ninjas, since other archers take em out easy), I get a large advantage, so I can use up my morale in forms of more efficient ways, like 3 militias, or 2 giants, or a heal, fog, etc. Overall, my highly upgraded Bellerophron has a large part in my battles, right next to Lancelot, who procs so many times because of my high luck equipment i put on him. Thanks for your help, though!
P.S. I reached level 40! yay! i added a new hero aka a 3 star reinhard.

As I said, his high procs is a bug, he will be fixed in the next patch. Luck has nothing to do with this, high luck only means high chance to make a critical strike. And I suspect he is the one who wins fights for you. At low levels his bugged skill must be even more dangerous. Check statistics after battles.
Ah, okay. I thought my luck was the thing that was making him so crazy. And sometimes he's the one carrying me, but actually Bellerophron and Lancelot kind of work together sometimes, like once I saw bellerophron and lancelot kind of packed together, both last ones standing, and both were being overwhelmed by a bunch of militias and enemy squads, and my lancelot was like the only one in his squad, except like a few units, and so his holy shock ability kept on healing my mounted archers and Bellerophron, until my constantly growing mob won. also, other times, lancelot doesn't heal belle's squad directly, but serves like almost a tanking squad (because so many heal and damage), and belle has a chance to grow humongous until i have a bunch of mounted archers mobbing everywhere.
And btw, I do checkk statistics a lot after battles, and it keeps on showing Lancelot procing about 8 times, its crazy, and SUPER dangerous to my enemies at my level. my enemies cant even do anything, even with three ninja squads, lancelot constantly seems to beat everything, except merlins, of course. so far im winning about 14/15 of all of my battles, but it might be partial 'cuz i choose my opponents carefully.
I'm trying to get more 4 stars. I'm lucky there's a holy grail for daily reward tomorrow. :D i hope i get like Sarky or like GDR, but hoping won't get me anywhere. I'll update tomorrow. thanks guys
