URZA
Urza is an interesting hero to pick here, but I will say Halberdier is the better choice as Urza gets two lives to boost his troops with. (Typically his troops always die before him, so unless you use a Hyacinth along with Urza I can't see much use in that)
LEONIDAS
Spartan is the obvious choice here. Not only is Leonidas already a Spartan, he dies too quickly for Halberdier to work effectively.
GAWAIN
For Gawain I still need to test this out. I don't know which advanced unit is the better choice but I do have a few ideas.
IGNATIUS AND ACHILLES
These two heroes are so similar in usage that I have grouped them together. For both I say Spartan is the better choice because they both can get tons of kills with their units. The heroes themselves are somewhat squishy, and Halberdier will probably not be as effective.
I'd say Halberdier is the best choice for everyone. Generally hero lives more than his minions, so they always will be boosted.

There's no need to boost Igni. His skill applies only to his minions (unlike Achilles' skill). Definitely Halberdier.
As for Achilles and Leonidas... Well, stronger versions of them would be useful, but at higher levels stronger minions means more. imho
Generally, not always. Ignatius and Achilles are still extremely squishy!

Ignatius boosts his minions, they do additional damage and they do it always (even against Reinhard, even if his shield as active, even against Alash and his minions; it ignores any kind of defence now). They do additional damage either to heroes or to any minions.
DeleteAchilles also boosts minions, but mostly he is the only one who enjoys the skill. His minions mostly act as usual pikemen, because mostly they attack enemy's minions, and only Alash's minions can dodge. If you look at post-battle stats you'll see no significant difference between Leonidas' and Achilles' minions in most of the battles. But Igni's minions sometimes do 1 000 000+ damage.

ReplyDeleteI think you could make the argument for Leo and Gaiwan having Spartans but I think it would only really be smart if they were in a healer row and behind a tank.
The Halberdiers are far more useful right now.
