Too Much is Not Good

A critical way of building rallies is to use the given advantages/disadvantages of the minions against each other. When you have too much of a single type of unit, your rally can become quite weak.

Too much infantry results in a major weakness against cavalry.
Too many pikemen makes your rally squishy.
Too many tanks causes your rally to be too defensive and you won't be able to do enough damage.
Too many ranged units causes breaches in your frontline and resulting in your ranged units being massacred.
Too much cavalry can cause breaches and make your rally squishy (cavalry do die quite often)

Remember to use a balanced rally and to use certain units against enemies weak to them (e.g. Pikemen VS Cavalry, Cavalry VS Infantry, Mages VS Pavisers).

  1. It's true, but...
Cavalry doesn't have an advantage against crusade infantry and low level infantry.
4 pikemen at high levels make you a beast.

    1. Yes, I mean them. I'm not at 180+ lvl yet so I don't use 4 pikemen. But many high level players do it, you can check it by yourself. Before 1.8.5 many players at high level used 2-3 3* musketeers (plus Sarky and sometimes Edward) just because of their minions. Now it's pikemen time, they do a lot of damage.
